Either that or Tuesday 12th as both us and Palace play on the Saturday before. That’s just a hunch as it’s usually what happens at this stage of the FA cup as it’s either that or risking a back log of fixtures at the end of the season.

Yeah, given we're getting a break now I think it would definitely suit us better to play it on 12/13th, not sure if Palace would pefer that though. Surely a decision would be likely made this week.

Pretty sure that we’ll look to rearrange the palace game for the Wednesday before it was originally scheduled as I can’t see us wanting a 3 week break between games.

Due to most of our squad being involved in the international matches, they won’t be having 3 weeks off

Palace won’t play the midweek leading upto the quarter final, and the week after all players will be on international duty

If we could get into the new stadium by April that could give us the extra lift we need with 4 of the last 6 games at home
I know I am going to get a lot of neg rep because this topic has already been discussed, washed, rinsed and repeated but..... we are going to have egg in our faces if the current markings of the pitch remain the same distant from the slope as it is shown now.

There is hardly any space for the ref's assistant to run, and will have to exercise a lot of balance to keep from falling off the edge. I understand that the markings are done at the recommended dimensions so to make the markings smaller, we will be reducing the size of the playing area, where in my opinion, is contrary to the EPL and UEFA guidelines with regards to pitch size.

Hopefully I am worrying about nothing, but just cannot comprehend how such a cock up could have been made, if my concerns about the slope proves justified.

Will it effect the race for top 4?

Honestly, I refuse to believe that such a basic thing could be fucked up on such a large project. I'm sure all that stuff has already been ticked off considering there's been not a word about it, and the only thing that appears to be preventing us moving forward are the critical safety systems.

We're going to be playing Chelsea in the middle of a new manager bounce aren't we?

Sarri could be a dead man walking if they lose this and the final.

Frustrating thing is Sarri only signed a 2 year contract, so paying him off would be peanuts in the grand scheme.

In the immediate term, this win is exactly what we need for United before they play Liverpool. Their confidence is sky high at the moment, and with it being at Old Trafford, I have a sneaky feeling United will get something.

They should. Pool are finally looking shaky. I think we can reel them in. It's city that I'm worried about. They have been there and done it. At their best they are the best team in the country.

Ultimately, the best thing is that we are in the conversation. We've had so much to contend with this year yet we are right there in the mix. It really goes to show what a change there has been in terms of mentality. It's taken years. All the way back to Jol. We got used to winning, or at least not losing often. Slowly you start to get results. I remember when we beat Chelsea and arsenal in consecutive home games to get 4th place. Or when we went to city and crouch got the winner. Then we beat inter, AC at the San Siro. Now we are getting results at Juve, Madrid, Barca. We've beaten Dortmund 3 times in a row with an aggregate score of 8-2! Beat Chelsea 3 times in a row. Beat utd 3-0 at OT. Regularly finish above the scum, pool, Chelsea, utd. The squad believe that we can win every game we play.

The final step is to actually win something!

We are on the verge of great things!

I don't care if we don't win, because quite frankly we shouldn't even be this close after everything that has happened. If we don't win the league, then finishing second ahead of Liverpool after they were top on Christmas day would be wonderful.

Re the stadium, we should 100% move in this season if possible. The atmosphere will be absolutely electric, the opposition will shit themselves.

Massive home ground advantage.

The squad should start training there from now, if they haven't already, to be familiar come moving in date. The changerooms, pitch, all facilities should be well and truly familiar to our squad ASAP.
