Sorry Chris wood is not fast. Average pace your two examples were just bad defending not pace.

so he isn't fast, just clever enough to be in the right position if defending isn't 100% on the ball. he isn't a slouch and is fast enough if needs be.

People need to prepare themselves for a very messy frustrating affair on Saturday. I look forward to the match thread positive vibes when we still haven't scored by the 60th minute.

highly expecting a tough battle, the 1 good thing is you won't see the bad vibes from me. the 1 thread I avoid is the match day 1. think I've something like 5 post in 8 years and that is after the match has finished(y)

What I'd give for a nice early goal to open them up, I don't anticipate it though, I think there was more pressure on the Leicester game as we had just introduced ourselves back into the race but yeah I'm expecting a slogfest.

get an early goal and it could be a route, concede early and it will be very tough.

lose and it might mean staying away till Chelsea due to the meltdown:cautious:

If we're serious about the title then I'd say we can at most lose 1 game so I'm guessing the meltdown will come sooner or later despite it being a mammoth task. Personally I felt the Leicester game was a big mental hurdle which we did well to get the 3 points.

to be honest I think this season has been our biggest hurdle, injuries, no signings, WC no preseason. think I selected 5th on the poll, but my nick doesn't show up when I look. I agree with the 1 lose, unfortunately it can't be v Liverpool or Man C, we might of not had a draw but I'd take 2 v those 2 if offered today and hope they slip up elsewhere

It would be so unbelievably sweet to dick liverpool though.

It would also stop them taking 2 minutes every time the ball goes out of play

He has Harry Kane sort of pace. He can be deceptively quick, but not conventionally quick over a short distance.

Burnley is a very tough game. They're unbeaten in ages.

Like any game it can be potentially tough, but I don't think this due to their recent run if I'm honest. Their last actual defeat was on the 26th of January to Cit in a 5-0 loss, albeit in the cup. Their last league defeat was on the 26th of December in a 5-1 home defeat to Everton. From that defeat until now they've beat West Ham at home, Huddersfield away, Barnsley at home, Fulham at home, drawn 0-0 away at Watford, drawn with United, drawn at home to Southampton and beat Brighton away.

The one that stands out is obviously United, but the opposition for the others isn't great. I know no games are easy now and their run is good especially for a team who had struggled such as them but I'd still be surprised if we didn't have too much for them and I'm normally a guy who doesn't like to say that and just says it depends who performs on the day.

I'd be much more nervous if we were at Wembley and were to expect them to play with everyone behind the ball for 90 minutes.

Burnley having 6-pointers against Newcastle and Palace after they face us probably helps - if they have any injury doubts they’ll save them for Newcastle - but it also means they’ll be very happy with a point, so expect a slow pace with lots of stoppages.

I’m confident though.

well the good thing is, if they are a worry for us in current form, in a weeks time they will take their brick wall to Anfield

Yep. They’ll be timewasting as bad as at Wembley which was as bad timewasting is ever seen from a team not fielding Ben foster in their team.

If, after this weekend the table reads 65,65,63 then there can be some real interest.
Still a pig that those big three games are all away.
Realistically, our budgets and squad aren’t on City’s level so I’m very happy with 3rd this year, especially with another year at Wembley.
Keep Eriksen. Add a star signing or two. NWHL and next season will be fun.

Watched the game against Brighton and they were fortunate to get that result Brighton denied a blatant penalty and they went straight down the other end on the break to get the winner. Brighton were camped on the edge of the Burnley box and I expect Burnley will play the same against us but we will break them down. We'll win.

Difference is that at him the crowd get behind them so as long as they're not leading they won't be looking to sit on a point, a bit like how Fulham were against us.

Fixtures have been a bit kind to us as we've had a 10 day break which has allowed players like Kane and Davies get back to fitness with Dele near plus others getting some rest. Burnley have also had the same break but our following opponents, Chelski's & Goons, have been as busy as we were a couple of months back.

We'll be Chelski's 5th game in 13 days and against Goons, they'll be playing their 4th game in 9 days. City and Pool apart, these 2 fixtures are our next most difficult so I'm less fearful then I was a month back about the derbies. Chelsea also have a day less rest which works in our favour and Goons have a few injuries (Bellerin, Koscienly, Holding)

Potentially allows us to put some pressure on City and Pool in the hope they slip up. It's a tough ask but we've got a chance even if we are the rank outsiders.
