Trying not too think too much about it because been burnt too many times over the last two windows, would be delighted if he signed but don't wanna get my hopes up too much!

Don't want to get too excited about this, but if Levy pulls it off, fair play to him, would be a bit of a coup.

Getting Falcao would be a real statement of intent...

Go on Daniel, make it happen!

He's the best striker on the market of the type we need, if you rule out unrealistic signings like Aguero and Rossi. Already plays in a somewhat similar formation to us, and scores bucketloads of goals. Good on the ground, but also very good in the air despite not being all that tall. If we get Falcao, I think we'll be instantly a much more effective team, he's just the kind of striker that will bully smaller teams and score goals in the kind of games we've been struggling in.

I know he's a goal scorer but what player is he most similar too?

He's not tall but looks strong so is he most similar to Tevez?

van Niestelrooy or Marcelo Salas.

Awesome finisher, fantastic movement, very intelligent, great in the air. Not overly quick, but generally an allround line leader and goal machine.

What is his hold up play like?

Competent (i.e. he doesn't particularly excel in it, but is miles better at it than any of Defrouchenko).

Porto tend to break down the flanks (much like us), rather than long central balls.

Sounds great, sign him up!

Now's the time to see if our last minute offers for Rossi etc were just a PR stunt...

Sounds like we should also be signing someone who gets goals from the right as well then. Gervinho maybe

I have not really seen enough of him my mates recon his touch is very poor but he can score goals

I'd be stunned if we even bid, let alone sign him. If I keep this view, at least I can't be disappointed!

Would make sense. Gervinho looks like a better/more technical version of Hulk.

No - it's Hulk who has the touch of a rapiest. Falcao is technically superb.
