Missing in action? Not any longer.

The following are back in the first team squad:-

13 Paul Stalteri

33 Ricardo Rocha

15 Hossam Ghaly

19 Adel Taarabt

23 Kevin-Prince Boateng

Whatever you thought of these players, I'm sure that Ramos, by making them non-persons, had a negative affect on the morale of the rest of the squad

I personally felt that Taarabt deserved another chance and playing Dawson who was clearly short of confidence instead of the experienced Rocha was a tactical error by Ramos

Harry has wiped the slate clean

Much better man management

I would like to see Rocha given another chance. I think that chance could be Wednesday. Possibly No Woodgate and King, no Dawson, leaves only Corluka.

the only player who i would not want back in the first 11 out of those players is stalteri, i feel the other players all have something to offer this club.

Just imagine Harry wandering around his new domain, seeing what's what, opening a cupboard and finding these guys sat in there in the dark.
Rocha: "What month is it and who are you?"

I was actually very embarrassed that MY club would treat people in such a way. All of them, even Ghaly. They worked hard to progress at this club and although it didn't work out for them to banish them from the squad was a disgusting reaction. You would have to blame Ramos for it. Its like he turned his nose up to them because THFC is so rich and can afford it. The very least the club can do is leave them in the shop window and speak highly of them (publicly at least) in the hope that they ressurect their careers elsewhere and we get them off the wagebill.

so already I'm saying 'well done Harry!'

I like the signal that that gives out, what we need at the moment is a bit of positivity. Notice on the photos that other than Taraabt, the other players have a darker shade (i.e autumn rather than summer) of grass behind them. Only a guess, but I imagine that Redknapp's said something along the lines of "yer no good doin nuthink, we'll get yer squad photo taken, ave a new shirt, now I'll see you in training tommorrow, if yer think yer good anuff, show uz". We need some change, and hopefully redknapp sees this.

I think Arry will like KPB and Ghaly if for nothing else than to add that bit of bite he was saying that we were missing

Adel has a different kit on as well from the rest of them. Is that last seasons pic?

I think Boateng and Taarabat should be given another chance.

I love stalteri as a canadian but he isnt good enough. Same with Rocha and Ghaly.

Ramos was losing the players.intreviews by woodgate and bentley, and he seemed to be so stubborn on the pitch ,without any creativity or change to try to steer the Spurs out of their disastrous start .Now there are newsreports from Spain that it was not Ramos who led Sevilla to success ,but the club managment. Very good move indeed to give respect back to Spurs players as this is certain to raise morale ,and some of those players like salteri and ghaly were starters in our teams which finished fifth in the premiership.

When Rocha came to us he was FIRST choice for Portugal, and Ghaly was one of the leading assisstants in the league but yeah, you're right not good enough.

Taarabt and Boateng, both of whom I like a lot, are given more credit than the former two, however, whithout actually having done much.

Ghaly and Zokora in the middle with Modric ahead of the them will give us the creativity and steel we need.

ghaly wasn't actually a starter in the team that nearly got 5th, though he did play a fair bit but Jenas and Lennon were both usually ahead of him. And after the incident v Blackburn he was out completely. I would like to see him get a go at some point. The midfield from the other day was good, but could perhaps be even better with Ghaly as Hudds central partner.

Anyway, this might be nothing, it might just be a token gesture. But hopefully these guys get a few reserve games and arre assessed for their use to the first team. Ghaly works tirelessly and puts his body on the line, Taarabt is ever confident and has enourmous potential with his talent, and Rocha is steady, dependable and experienced. I can't say that I see a way to the team for either Boateng or Stalteri, The former is quite weak and slow and usually costs the team a goal, and while I will always remember his goal to beat West Ham, I cannot see him ever being used unless it is an absolute emergency. Hutton, Gunter, Corluka, all ahead of him. As for Boateng, I cannot say that he ever displayed anything to make me think he could play for us, but who knows, perhaps he will be better now.

Anyway, it was incredibly disrespectful to not give 5 senior players numbers, and i think it was very petty as well. I can only assume that it was because, barring Bale and Zokora, after the summer sales they were the only 5 remaining players signed under Comolli's regime prior to Ramos arriving. Everyone else gone!

Good news

I can understand why Ramos did'nt play these guys regularly, because they are second to the other players imo, but not having them in the squad as an option when things don't work out is just stupid.

Always liked Ghaly myself, his workrate was excellent, good passing and showed generally good morale up untill the incident. Still, dont feel that there is a future for him at the club, and even though I'll politely applaud him if he gets the change, he'd really have to work his sock off and pass his boots of to really be accepted by me again.

Having said that, his actions were examples of typical arabic temper and arrogance, and thus there is also some cross-cultural noise in the picture. BTW, I'm not saying its negative, i've been living in Cairo and I like their style, I'm just saying its different, and if you dont see the difference you'll read the wrong things into his actions.

Rocha, dunno, potential and all, but think he needs a lot of matches under his belt to really perform in the premiership. Stalteri I've always liked but his too old and not good enough, and I still se Taarabt as a potential superstar, really cant understand how its possible not to get more out of that talent of his! We'll see what 'arry can do, then. Really f*cking sceptical, but I'll support him 110 % anyways!

Great news to see them all back in the squad pointless having them in the reserves and having no intention of playing them.

Whats this crap about Stalteri not being good enough....? He is what 4th choice? Hutton, Corluka and Gunter.... Part of our best defensive record in the premiership as well.

Wouldnt be suprised to see Rocha making appearances on the bench soon. I do think they need to make sure Ghaly is willing and in the right state of mind before including him in a match day squad.

I will never forget the goal Stalteri scored for us against West Ham in the last 10 seconds of the game, scoring the 3-4. We need players like them who play with passion (maybe technical not so great) and with much power!!

Good to see this change happen.

Will help to breed a bit of confidence and optimism around the place. I'm sure that some of those players have still got quite a bit to offer and if they end up not adding anything to the mix, at least it won't be through Spurs not giving them the opportunity.

Nice statement there by Harry.

hahaha i can just picture it

yea i'd like to see more of Rocha and Taarabt, Stalteri would be a good backup, Ghaly isn't good enough and KPB was useless whenever he put a Spurs shirt on!

Couldn't understand why these players were not given numbers, but were kept around. If not needed why not sell. I think they can still be of some service.
