Another case where the manager is punished for something that is out of his hands. Sunderland and Birmingham have thrown money at their managers to help them stay up whereas Derby are doing a Watford and refusing to spend anything.

Billy Davies has done a great job with little or no help from the board. Did anyone expect them to be only 4 points away from 17th at this stage of the season?

are we surprised there are no good british managers, they do amazingly well, get a team into the premiership and then are sacked and made to look like idiots just because of the gulf between the championship and premiership, they need to address this otherwise the premiership might as well move abroad, with all the foreigners it has

So he gets them up on a shoe string, giving the club a much needed £40 million injection. Then they give him fuck all money to spend and sack him when the going gets though. Unbelievable.

Doesn't matter who they get in, because they are totally rubbish.

The funny thing is if he hadn't gotten them promoted he'd probably still be in a job.

That's ridiculous, he got them up with a poor squad- Giles Barnes aside, and was expected to keep them up with almost exactly the same squad- Giles Barnes apart who has been injured all season it seems. And yet, somehow Billy Davies is to blame?

Derby are a mickey mouse outfit, just as well Walt Disney are apparently in takeover talks with the current Derby chairman.

If Disney do take the club over then Derby have to win the League Cup - a mickey mouse club winning a mickey mouse cup.

It had to happen, but I cannot understand that they don't see that they have a bad team....?

When you are a Premier League Club, I thought you wanted to try to prove others wrong, when you are doomed down. At Derby it seems like they don't understand that they actually have an overall weak team for this level.

I know there are difficult to attract big name signings to a club like Derby, but it is possible to do some good buys from lower division Clubs abroad, and many would have liked to join.
