Just seen this posted on the Telegraph site and I very much agree with the all be it small comment about us. A Palace of Whinge. Even under Redknapp the fans around me would slag off half the players, at the time the regular abuse was at the then named (by a fan two seats down)- Adeby Af and also Parker you WHAM ****. The only time I remember the atmosphere not being like this in the last 10 years was a period under Martin Jol when we first got back into Europe and there were signs we were investing and improving the squad.

I gave up my season ticket when Harry left as I was having children and couldn't dedicate every other weekend but I still go when I can. Its no surprise the players don't perform at home as the fear of failure created by our "Palace of whinge" as Jim White put it is fear inducing. If we put half the moaning effort into creating an encouraging and vibrant atmosphere like a Palace or a Stoke we would be where we want to be. Our players wouldn't fear playing in front of us and the opposition might.

Amazing turn around under Poch in every way. Having players we can call our own that are growing with us definitely helps.
