We have been great all season but two ten minute mad spells in both legs of the champions league, a lacklustre half in the semi final FA cup and crawling over the line in the league put a bit of dampener on things. All in all a decent season away from home

A few worrying things over the season is Lloris has made more errors. We are not sure which right back is best. Toby and Rose contract concerns. Alli's slow start to the season. Kane's greediness towards the end of the season to catch up Salah. Wanyama doesn't look the beast he was last season. Davison caught one on one plenty of times through the season. This is me nitpicking of course....

Time to buy Senegsson and Butland as back up?

I gave 8 out of 10

Dude, don't say Butland... I got slaughtered

7.5 for me. Disappointed in the nature of our exits in both domestic cups, and we were a bit naive against Juventus, but winning our Champions League group and running teams like Liverpool and Manchester United off the park in the league was great to see. We showed we belonged in the Champions League this year as well, and I'm excited for next year's campaign.

Poch A-
Levy D

About time levy backed his man. no more sissoko type signings.
Levy has built the best training ground and next season a stadium in the country probably around Europe and yet he gets a D and a capital one at that.
You must be hard to please or have been living in isolation for the past few years to not give the little man some serious credit where it is deserved.

8/10. Very good season stand out performance for me was our victory at Stamford Bridge.
Kane scoring 30 league goals and still getting stick even from our own unbelievable.
And got the stick because of the circumstances and justifiably so. World class and the best we have but he is not beyond criticism as you seem to imply. Get over it

Why is it justified that he gets stick from his own fans?

Get over what?

There's criticism and there's stupidity . Some of what Harry Kane's had to put up with is damn right stupid you've even had an FA official making un professional jokes about him he's been Kaned on tweeter and some of our own fans have jumped on the bandwagon .

What happened to the song...He's one of our own!!!

When he need us the most people (so called Spurs) turned on him, on radio stations and online Like with Alli.

I find the whole thing amusing

8 or 9 out of 10. On the face of it, the final results are 9 or 10, but there were obviously issues.

Third in the league when many were fully expecting us to drop out of the top four is a phenomenal achievement. Man City were in a different world, Man U were tough to beat, and the teams around us spent a shit-load of money again. The expectations for Arsenal and Chelsea were still pretty high as the season began, and Liverpool were excellent. Finishing above all three really is extraordinary, no matter how much people might suggest otherwise. I'm not convinced that Wembley had too much of a negative impact, but before the season started that was received wisdom. At the very least, we overcame a potential obstacle.

The Champions League was a real coming-of-age, and we were so close to beating Juve. Bottom line, there is not a single club in Europe that we cannot beat, and I think we know that now - although Poch needs to find a better plan to play against Man City. We nearly did it in the cups, and I think you can say what you like about mentality, you really need a bit of luck at the right time.

The main problem is that we still seem like we're just a little short of where we could be. There are too many positions where we lack true class at the top level, and although we have got where we are by being more than the sum of our parts, even that has become questionable at times. It's difficult to assess because our form in the last few games completely disappeared, but we are still looking for upgrades at certain positions. The worst thing about Sissoko for me is not so much that he's terrible (as a certain kind of player, he's very effective) but that he so obviously doesn't fit this team and never would have, and his signing is the biggest question mark over Poch's judgment. Despite Walker's failings, we are clearly not quite as good at full back, and through various injuries our CM has lost its way.

The nice thing is that the things we need to improve on the pitch are fairly obvious. If Toby goes we probably need a CB with some experience as cover - or a really really good one. We clearly need a classy CM who's good on the ball. Sissoko should be offloaded. Kane needs proper cover - or, again, a really really good foil. Sorting those things out takes pressure off the FBs, which means they don't necessarily need upgrading. Finally, we need a medium-term solution at GK.

The season should be a 9 simply because we got back into the CL. Trophy or no, that's brilliant, and certainly not a given before the season, with Wembley and financial considerations. Our Cup performances were probably 8 or 9 - CL 9, others 8. Our squad possibly an 8 - Sanchez and Foyth look like terrific buys, Aurier and Lucas will tell in time, Llorente was disappointing, the kids didn't really develop at all (on the face of it). 8.5 for me.

8.5 for me. Given that we've played every game away from home and that we have had long term injuries to key players throughout the season, the response has been fantastic. To start off with we 'couldn't play at Wembley' but then we dispatched Dortmund and Real Madrid to win the 'group of death'. We couldn't beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but then we did. We weren't as good as Liverpool but we've finsished above them and we beat Man Utd fair and square. The Cup exits were a bit disappointing but I'd have had your arm off for CL qualification back in August so how could anyone really be critical of what's been achieved.

I did not really want to start a new thread, but thought it was interesting to see the progression of PL prize money over the last several years:

Spurs PL prize money:

12/13 - £58.9M
13/14 - £89.6M
14/15 - £88.8M
15/16 - £95.2M
16/17 - £148.5M
17/18 - £144.4M

Certainly player transfers, and contracts are much higher, but its also easier to pay stadium debt now than it was years ago when Arsenal were making the move.

Rating it a 7 since I think we really could have at least had 2nd place. We threw away points against teams we should have smashed.

8 overall for me.
8 for over-achieving in PL; single-most important thing. We have less points than last season but Man City's dominance is unprecedented. I think
+1 for good games vs the big teams in CL
-1 for playing worse fooball than last season; we scored less and our goal difference sank.

A solid 8 from me.

3rd in the PL, Wembley, winner of our group in the CL, Thrashing Real Madrid, Kane completing with 30 goals in the PL, semi final in the FA Cup. Lots of positive things to go about this season

7 for me because no trophy yet a gain but finishing 3rd whilst playing at wembley is a good achievement. If we were at the lane im certain we would have finished 2nd and a lot closer to city.

Stick, criticism whatever you want to call it he is not exempt. Point in case to answer your question, was the last game of the season where his greed caused a counter attack from where Leicester scored (Although he did redeem himself by scoring the winner). No one is beyond criticism when its warranted. I dont see anyone defending the stick that you all give some of the other players, but how dare any one say anything about Kane

I voted 9

To play 38 away games while missing several key players for most of the season for one reason or another it was almost as good as you could expect

Not much we could do about the stadium but maybe we could have handled players better. But with the players let's say 'selectable' it was about as well as could be hoped for

Yeah ok but I thought you were talking about the goal he claimed when you were talking about the circumstances, at least that's how I read @double0 's post.

I think it's pretty obvious thst all no one is beyond criticism, no one is perfect.
