Waiting for England to finally win the Euros-2024?

A little harsh to be honest, made huge progress this year. Proper CL run and topped the group of death, finished top London club, and played 38 away games where we still finished 3rd only behind the two Manchester clubs that have spent 4 times the amount we have.

I'm still hurt by our pathetic exits in all 3 cups, that's what really pains me and overshadows (for me personally) our positives which you do mention.

Before the season, if you said 3rd, FAC Semi and last 16 of the CL and being unlucky to lose, I'd have said a 10 out of 10.
But knowing the chavs waited in the final of the fa cup and that Wembley ultimately became fairly fortress like, I've gotta knock some off for that United loss. Especially after we played them off the park a couple of months before.

8/10 is more than fair

Ultimately a fantastic performance to finish 3rd after playing away from home all season but those cup exits were so hard to take

Pathetic exit against Juventus?
They've won the Italian double 4 years in a row. It's not Scotland over there.
CL final twice in recent seasons.

We gave them a superb two legs and were the better team for 170 out of 180 minutes.
They got lucky and used serious experience to see themselvesthrough.

The West ham game was a catastrophe
The United game was an example of the players letting the fans down by being too nervous with no need.

An excellent season on the whole but that loss to Juve still stings me as we should have won and the loss to Utd in the cup was an awful chaser. So overall we did very well but could and maybe should have done better were it counts (outside of the PL). Seeing Liverpool in the CL final pisss me off as I really see no reason why that couldn’t be us. Does feel like a Leicester situation to me, ie all the big boys have been off the boil quite significantly. Still, very excited for next season as long as we make the right moves over summer.

One things for certain tho, I’m not going to be missing that trek to Wembley every other week.

it was the fact that we were in the driving seat for all 3, and in all 3 we fucked it up. it's so hard to take because I am desperate for us to win something, no one is going to remember us for being the nearly men and I'm worried we won't be able to keep our players if we don't win something soon.

If we played on WHL,, I'd say it is 7 tops. Since it was Wembley, I'm more than happy to give us 8 for the season.

Almost excellent, but not quite.

Hopefully we can take the positives from this season and progress again next year.

Great performance in the league, could argue that we should of had second but 3rd is fine for me ATM. Should have done better in all the cups, I’d stamp it 7.5/10 as a satisfactory season.

Top Four finish and CL qualification again is very well done and continues to consolidate and establish this club at the top table. It is the massive objective for the club currently, so on that metric a very successful season.

And at that point, most will be happy and without a care in the world. However.....

Performance wise, I think it's been an inconsistent season. Most of the memorable results came about from the counter-attack tactic in the biggest games, whilst with our 'normal' approach I think standards have dropped in some aspects this year, that has kind of been reflected in how far off the top we've finished, and I hope Poch and Co. feel the same and will strive to improve that next year. I don't think as a collective it's been as strong, or consistently impressive/excellent this campaign.

Also, we continue to struggle to manage the crunch games, or even the crunch moments/periods within the crunch games. Both the players on the pitch, and the manager off it. If we want to make that final step to winning things then this is the main thing that I feel we need to master. It didn't happen this year, hopefully next......

League 10/10
Domestic cups 6/10
Champions league 9/10

It’s between 8 and 9.

Amazing mentality to pick up the pieces of the two cup defeats and secure third.

Sometimes it's easy to be left feeling a little 'what if' but, before the season started, every man and his dog was predicting the Wembley hoodoo would ruin our season.

Then when the CL draw happened everyone predicted we'd get knocked out of the group stages.

Add to the the injuries we've had etc.

It's been a rollercoaster but much better than I hoped for at the start of the season. Gives me a lot of hope for the next one.

8.5/9 out of 10.

8/10 (would have been 9 if we made the Cup final and 10 if we had won it)

Overall to finish 3rd while playing all season away from home at a stadium we had this supposed hoodoo at is a great achievement, plus a cup semi final even though we all wanted it to be more and another CL last 16. I think when you judge it against expectations at the beginning of the season (PL at Wembley - everyone thought we'd finish 6th, even 7th behind Everton. Plus topping that CL group that everyone expected us to go out of) and how much money we spent in comparison to the other teams around us its difficult to argue against it being a good season.

Didn't expect a top four finish given the stadium so I'm chuffed about that.

The lack of a trophy still grates, and I don't think our performances have been that great or consistent.

However, it's fantastic to finish above the scum and cheatski; whilst seeing the scousers below us again is very sweet.

Tomorrow should, be a good day in the office!

Its been an amazing season.
A few hiccups along the way and despite those, just look at who we are above.
We still have an outstanding manager who will lead us on to bigger and better things next season...hopefully R Madrid will stay away from him... Onwards and upwards!

8 feels stingy and 9 feels a bit much.

Absent an in-between, I'd probably err on the side of 9, given we played a whole season away from home, which is remarkable.
