The funny thing is I'm really chuffed we actually managed to win 1-0 as it's som unusual for Spurs to win away from home, keep a clean sheet and keep our bottle to win by such a sling margin!

Starting XI:

Robinson 6.5 - did nothing wrong
Chimbonda 7 - well done
Zokora 6.9 - looked solid and worked well with Kaboul
Kaboul 6.9 - tried his best
Lee 6.5 - he was ok
Boateng 7.3 - good game, but it was reasonable performance
Jenas 9 - was man of the match for sure. Made good movement for defense and attack, also, good passing and a great work
Lennon 7.1 - did well
Malbranque 7 - worked hard
Bent 5 - shocking, never deserved his price until now !
Berbatov 7.5 - nice some touches plus winning goals.

Bench:

Defoe 6.6 - looked dangerous and almost to score
O'Hara 7 - good debut. really impressed and proved the importance of left footed player !
Tainio 6.3 - too late, but looked ok and did important challenge. Always gives 100% TT although his future with us insecure !

Manager:

Ramos 8.5 - Good team selection plus good pefromance. we saw his quick changes recently and most of his changes worked, this time were late but still effective. The man know his job. The away win was deserved. Thanks Juande !

haven't seen the game today - but so pleased to see so many people praising JJ - as I and others have been saying on here for the past year or so, JJ is our best CM - it's as simple as that - can't wait to see what the anti-JJ brigade make of what seems another good/very good performance

Thumbs up:

Kaboul - looks much more comfortable at right CB. at least I think he was on the right.

Lennon - needs some human growth hormone, then nobody would get the ball away from him.

Jenas - great at both ends all game.

O'Hara - great for his first 15 minutes.

Thumbs down:

Bent - is this as good a he gets? If the ball isnt within 3 yards of him he gives up. Defoe gives much more effort and didnt cost 17 million.

Lee - does any other Spur give away possession more regularly?

Robbo - 6 - Barely had anything to do but saved a couple of fierce shots and kept hold of them.

Chimbonda - 7 - Good display, seemed to concentrate more on defending today and made one glorious tackle in the penalty area.

Kaboul - 8 - Best game for Spurs. His long range passing was better and made a few great tackles.

Zokora - 8 - Didn't stop the whole match. Read the game very well considering he's playing out of position. Made a few important challenges and interceptions.

YPL - 7 - Got forward well but got caught a couple of times on the ball. Was very busy all game and coped well.

Lennon - 7 - Much better second half and put in his best cross ever for Spurs. Pompey couldn't handle his pace.

Jenas - 9 - One of his best ever games for us. He was excellent defending and going forward. Didn't stop all game and literally gave 100%.

KPB - 7.5 - Great game for him. Looked very comfortable on the ball and made some good quick passes. Seems to have a good understanding with Jenas.

Malbranque - 7.5 - gave his usual 100% and had a very good game. Lost the ball a couple of times but more than makes up for it with his determination and work rate.

Berbatov - 7 - Well taken goal and some nice touches as usual. Not one of his better games for Spurs but still top class on the ball. The goal will do him wonders.

Bent - 6.5 - Didn't have a great game but worked hard enough. Lacking confidence at the moment.

Subs

Defoe - 7 - Came on, hit the bar, tried a cheeky lob, worried the defence.

O'Hara - 7.5 - Everything he did today was excellent considering. Was very impressed near the end (1 minute left) when he beat someone and instead of crossing it, came back on himself and passed it short. Shows maturity.

Tainio not on long enough.

Ramos - 9 - the football was excellent today. Long may this continue. I'm sure it won't though, too good to be true. Be nice if it did for next week though....

I'll trust these.

Have only seen the highlights but I'm convinced Robbo must deserve a 7 at least - for me a clean sheet is a default 7 unless the keeper was really just lucky - saw nothing to suggest that - and that was an excellent save from muntari - could easily have let that slip in or fumbled it out to the oncoming pompey player

Having seen all of spurs games previous to this and the marks awarded by many I bet I would have given Robbo at least 7.5

Gave him a 6 just because he didn't have that much to do......so he couldn't shine even if he tried.

that's my point Michey :) - obviously your ratings are up to you - but when a keeper doesn't have much to do but does it well and keeps a clean sheet - especially away from home in the Prem - it has to be at least a 7 for me - he's done his job and done it well - that was a quality save from Muntari - it would have been so easy to *** that one up

special mention for the following:-

zokora - very impressive at CB, considering the fact that Benjani, Utaka and Muntari were very quiet

Boateng - this guy is good n confident on the ball. has the calmness to look for passes or keep th eball when necessary. i'd love to see more of this partnership with JJ.

JJ - Wow, i mean wow. this boy can produce world class performances if he decides to do so. just wish he could do this day in day out.

Ohara - such confidence for a debutant. credit to JR for realising his potential and giving him the chance to shine

Apart from those mentioned above, the others were their average selves, Berbs included. However, Im glad he scored. will do a lot for his confidence.

worried about bent though.

Don't agree with this ' average selves' stuff yusrifari .

There was a clearly elevated motivation throughout the team . These 'average selves' have played us into the relegation zone.

If you can't spot the difference between this and the 'average selves' relegation performances we've had this year ...then you should look at the match again .
