Great from Eriksen. Good to see Dier have a good outing. Stambouli for me though. Puts in a shift, tackles well passes well, gets forward but also drops immediately into the back 4 when a player is out of position. Works very hard for the team and is really finding his feet.

After tonight if I ever see Dembele in a midfield 2 again I'll cry. He was fantastic in that free role. Glides effortlessly past players, that little bit by the corner flag at the end of the first half was magic.

Lamela started well tonight but then went missing for 60 mins. He does work hard and puts in shift but he looks a headless chicken sometimes. I think he needs to be braver on the ball. He needs to lend it to get it back and every ball hasn't got to be a worldie! Hopefully with experience he makes better choices

Vorm - 5 - Nearly a costly mistake in the 10th minute. Just doesnt feel as confident as with Hugo. Anyone who thinks Vorm should start the final does not want to win it.

Walker - 5 - more bad moments as good. What has happened to him?
Dier - 6.5 - solid, prefer him to Fazio
Vertonghen - 6.5 - okay enoough
Davies - 5.5 - not his best day

Stambouli - 7.5 - good energy and pressing.
Dembele - 7 - better, but sometimes takes too long and can'T rate him higher until he finally produces an assist or a goal
Mason - 6.5 - good energy was in good positions but he needs to produce a goal soon again . We need desperately real goal threat

Lamela - 6 - good defensively needs too long on the ball I think okay.
Eriksen - 7.5 - MOTM . Again vital goals, runs his socks off, some bad touches here and there but no complaints
Kane - 7 - creates chances for him and others today no goal, hopefully he finds the net soon again, we need it badly. Hard to rely on such a young guy.

Paulinho - 4 - lol.
Townsend - 6 - okay

Dembele was superb until that Sheff Utd player nobbled him. Does leave a bit of a conundrum once Chadli is ready to play again, though.

IMO, I don't think you can put Lamela and Townsend on the same level today. Even if you just judge them on the work ethic and the pressing because AT wasnt on the pitch that long then there was a huge difference (not a good one..) after the sub...

Think Paulinho rating is harsh too to be honest,

Just watched that bit again. After he got caught 2 mins later he beat thre players and played lamela in. Then he beat someone and smashed it over then he ran 50 yards to close a defender down. I dont think he was injured, I think poch wanted him fresh for sat and thought the game was done.

Rumours has it, in an alternative dimension, Dembele is still running around with the ball, with the united-players still chasing him and trying to win the ball from him.

Was a total beast today.

Not really. Chadli is the best LW option we have. Dembele is a nice alternative to Mason in the CM2 spot - different styles.

Where would you play each of them? Chadli is best on the left, and neither Eriksen nor Dembele would be as effective on the right.
The 3 don't have to be rigid.... Only when we don't have the ball. They should all be able to rotate. These 3 behind Kane and we cause west brom all sorts of problems

Dembele showed tonight he has to play closer to the front man. Play him in the hole and you get a different player, he's too good to play that deep

Best player at the club when he does what he does tonight. We need to see that more often which i admit, as I've said over to our manager now. Play him in that role and tell him to get it and commit people and we have a proper baller on our hands
