Fair play to lescott as well, if only adebayor had his anticipation today, he was first to everything
Let be fair here, Stevie Wonder could see the game quicker than Ade does.
Fair play to lescott as well, if only adebayor had his anticipation today, he was first to everything
There were a few errors from him but I'd say Rose was the best outfield player for us. Only for the fact that he didn't fuck around with the ball like the rest of them. He got it, actually ran forward with the ball and showed some intent.
I wouldn't hurry back home if I were youFuck me. I just logged on to see the result as I am at work but somehow not surprised. Those that were predicting a route by us............. nuff said. Will watch when I get home.
At least Bentley scored a great goal against Arsenal. I don't foresee anything good coming out of PaulinhoFullbacks weren't bad. Everyone else...facepalm. Adebayor non-existent and Eriksen couldn't deliver a set piece to save his life today.
Paulinho is a worse signing than Bentley. There I said it. He couldn't even pass the ball one time. His movement off the ball is also terrible.
Agree about Lamela and what I liked was that he kept trying even though very little/nothing came off for anyone todayLamela being unfairly slated by majority on here.
He tried stuff and it didn't come off.
There were far, far worse culprits than the aforementioned today... But no slack will be cut as he is the easy scapegoat due to his price tag.
Adebayor shirked responsibility totally and for 10 minutes in the 2nd half was basically hiding from the ball.
Spot on.....we're still a massive work in progress.Lloris couldn't do anything about the goal, made two very good save, dealt with most else pretty comfortably.
Dier was pretty decent defensively apart from getting skinned once, and played some nice balls forward.
Kaboul looked shaky and was so sloppy with his passing.
Chiriches had one of the worst games I've seen from any centre back ever. Made Ricardo Rocha's debut look like a dream start. Today he was beaten every time, weak, useless on the ball, all in all a liability.
Rose did well. He carried the ball forward, he wasn't particularly beaten at any point and he busted a gut.
Capoue had a good first half with some good passing and solid defending, but once Dembele came off and he was alone in midfield, his performance dropped dramatically.
Dembele was solid defensively barring one moment where he tried too much too deep, he was very energetic and he drove us forward as much as he could, playing some very clever passes. Unless he was knackered or injured I must question the decision to sub him.
Lamela fought constantly, showed some great skill at times and constantly tried to drag us forward, even of he did overcook it a few times. If the other three attackers showed even 75% of his endeavour and drive then this thread would have a very different feel.
Eriksen over or underhit absolutely everything, flitted in and out of the game and was bullied quite easily.
Chadli was pretty much anonymous. I expect far more from a man of his physical and technical ability.
Adebayor looked like a worse version of Pavlyuchenko today. For a guy so blessed physically and technically, he does so very little. No effort, no movement, as cons two everything. He was put in by good balls on a few occasions today and just never makes it when slower players would have, while offering no link up play and missing a sitter of a header. 1 goal in 5? Time to drop him.
Soldado didn't do much but he at least offered some link up and, with his one half chance, registered our only shot on target.
Paulinho came on and made us infinitely weaker. Everything he did was bad.
Lennon was energetic and showed for the ball, but his two attempted crosses were both woeful.
Pochettino made some curious choices today. Starting an off form Adebayor again? Odd. Playing Chiriches ahead of Vertonghen? Lunacy. Subbing Dembele at 0-0 and this surrendering the midfield completely? Unforgivable.
Need to improve quickly,
Spot on.....we're still a massive work in progress.
