Would also add re Sissoko his stride seems to be twice that of any other player, he covers ground so quickly and effortlessly which is a massive asset. It’s strange cos I don’t think he’s particularly tall? His passing has improved too, shame about the shooting though..

Yes he is. As tall as Harry and Dele

Davies had a very good game, but was helped dramtically by the lazyness of Aubameyang. It was what epitomised the two teams was the comparison between Son and Aubamayang, Son was chasing down every ball and not giving the defenders a moments peace, the Arsenal forward barely moved in that first half and Davies had time on the ball all day.

Sissoko a game of two halves, the defensive half he was superb, strong powerful and good with his distribution in the attacking sense he was quite poor. Winks, first half brilliant but faded in the second.

Dele - MOM by a country mile, I feel he thrives on big games and that offside goal he scored was well worth the yellow card. He reminds me of a young Wayne Rooney in so many ways, he has both the work ethic and that talent to just do wonderful things. He made me smile and there was one point where he was at left back making a great challenge, oh and his goal was a thing of beauty. Fans hate him, but honestly, even if he was in another team I would love him, there is not many like him around if any.

Gazzaniga was great, helped set up the goals and made two amazing saves. He won us the game today.

Poch, Toby and Eriksen need to stay.

And just a little on Emery, he has done a wonderful job with some suspect players, he deserves credit for what he has done there, I don't think he could do more with the players that he has at his disposal. He has a huge task ahead of him.

Gazzaniga looks good, yeah a mistake here and there... but i am gonna give him the credit for both goals. he started it with a long ball out of goal, the accuracy was fantastic. both times he started a quick counter with a long ball... something that Lloris seldom does and it carved arsenal open.

Yes, other than his two top saves, his quality kicking is a real weapon - it led directly to both goals. Well his lack of quick kicking though almost led to one for them too :) Lloris' kicking is the most woeful part of his game, often a liability, never an asset.

Agree with this - and he’s made some great signings in his first window.

He’s in a strange position in that Arsenal have cash to burn, wages to pay yet their recent form in the last few years has seen them lose their star quality - can they still attract the world’s best?

Aubameyang / Lacazette type signings are still high profile as are their transfer fees, but their other signings are a little more like ours; players with potential or old heads with experience.

Lacazette has strangely started on the bench last two games, I wonder in Arsenal will burn out as the season goes on.

Gazzaniga has proved he is a very good back up. Now we need to ship out Vorm and sign Nick Pope or Tom Heaton

I like your thinking but Heaton is unhappy being behind Hart at Burnley so reckon he’d want to go somewhere where he’d get game time.

Will be interesting to see if Pope gets back in as well as Dyche is oddly sticking with Hart rather than putting Heaton back in.

Gazza 8 Did everything that was needed and his distribution puts Hugo to shame.
Trippier 6.5 Iwobi gave him a hard time but he managed.
Toby 8.5 Solid as a rock. Never flustered.
Davies 7.5 Great stuff. Looked very comfortable.
Rose 8 Feisty and energetic.
Winks & Sissoko. 8 I've put them together because they worked as a pair very well. Both ran their legs off and snuffed the Arsenal CM.
They did precisely what was needed in disrupting them and transitioning for us.
Lucas 7.5 Got stuck in and put himself about. Team player.
Eriksen 6.5 Not at his best but worked hard.
Dele 9 MOM. Hitting top form just at the right time. Absolute class and he revelled in the hostility.
Son 8 Lovely goal and a great outlet for a GK with Gazzaniga's accuracy.

What I take from this game is that we won pretty comfortably, scored two fine counter attack goals and had the gooner fans exasperated. Dele getting the headlines and deservedly so.....one of our world class players. Plays with the abandon of us as kids on our six weeks holidays. Every touch he took running for the goal was with the outside of his foot....including the nonchalant finish. Like to add a big wrap for Winks. He went up against Torreira as the buzzer in midfield and more that held his own.....we have another special player there.
Gazza 7.5 Clean sheet...growing in confidence
Trippier 7 Surprised to see him tonight...solid
Toby 8 Rock of our defence
Davies 8 Looking comfortable in central defence...a big bonus for us
Rose 8 Captain performance ...getting back his mojo
Winks 8.5 The oil in the machine....controlling performance
Sissoko 7 Did the simple stuff well...reminded us why he passes rather than shooting
Moura 6 Fair but still getting over his Camp Nou goal
Son 7.5 Lovely finish...willing to lead the line but scored another great goal from the right
Eriksen 7 Probably having to work a bit harder that we would like with his niggling injury
Dele 9 World class finish....has that something special about him
Kane 7 Off bench ....great pass job done
Lamela Off bench....obviously hates Arsenal. Standard

Harry Kane was different class last night. Yes Dele scored one and set up Sonny with a lovely through ball but Kane led us through

Brilliantly set up Dele for his goal which Dele took fantastically

Absolutely took the piss out of the scum back line, bullied them. Held everything up. Laid everything off beautifully

Amazing to be able to bring that quality off the bench

When Harry came on and played the way he did that game was over

What a player 10/10

Was a great night at Scumsville with some top banter next to the Ars numpties.

Well this won't go down well in a celebratory thread .

I just checked the Hoofoot highlights . Arse had a shedload of really good chances.
Especially first half .One on ones missed ,woodwork hit . I wonder if we (and the pundits) are rating the result rather than the match a tad .
A tiny twist of luck and that game gets away from us , the margins are so narrow .

Wasn’t much in it until Harry came on then we controlled the game

First half they had one great chance and also Gazza tipped one brilliantly onto the post. They also had a few half chances

Goals always change games and we got the rub of the green but overall we were the better side and deserved the victory

Didnt watch the match but i see 2 very different ratings for davies and trips...from being very good to being the weak points. Whys that?

Trippier got beaten one one one, Davis played well just sliced a clearance or two that a side he played well.

Dele is possibly the most underrated player in the league. Even though he is often valued at 150 mil in the Forbes list ( or some other high profile list) .
He’s going to win loads of trophies , just got to make sure it’s with us.
World class youngster . We’ve got so much going for us at the monent.
Unfortunately winning a domestic trophy means you have to beat a few of Europe’s ( yes Europe’s)best teams.
10 years ago Liverpool and us would have naturally picked up a couple of cups a piece.
Any other County I’m Europe we’d be winning lots of silverware .

I think Ali looks a far better player than last season his end product is back, his had a lot of very good games since his return from injury.

A case of 'tables turned' during the match GK?

Us getting the rub of the green?

Things going our way at the right time?

About time we had some of the good fortune that those lucky bastards have had over the years.

completely agree, his hold up and ball for Deles goal was majestic, feels like his becoming a assist machine at the moment, is that 3 assists in a row?
not bad for a seflish tap in merchant aye.

Yes agree with all this Houds..and Sly above . But some in the media and around the place are giving it the 'Arse is fucked' routine and sadly I'm not sure this match represents proof of that . Yes the ****s have had mountains of good fortune over the years and it had to turn...but that's basically what happened ..we got the green..along with being marginally the better side.
