Kaboul suddenly returned to the pre-injury Kaboul we grew to love today. And perfect timing too, because we needed an absolute rock at the back today. A clear MOTM.

I'll do ratings once I've unclenched.

Rose, Mason and Kaboul were top notch. Adebayor was horrific, worst performance I've seen from a Spurs player in a long time.

And games like this are a reminder as to how lucky we are to have Lloris.

Kaboul, Capoue and Rose were outstanding today.

Mason was tidy on his debut, not fazed by the occasion.

Naughton and Verts were also very impressive.

Delighted to see Mason make a positive contribution and show his worth.

Delighted to see Kaboul show form.

Delighted Rose is showing he was worth the new contract, I could;t bear him last season (performances).

The negative:-
Ade - Really lacklustre and below par.

Kaboul - best performance for ages. Got to be honest, I thought he'd lost it. Not by today's showing.
Naughton - pretty good. Can we all start to agree that he's a useful player now?

Ade - the worst performance I can remember from a spurs striker. He is better than that showing

Michael Oliver - The worst display I can remember from a ref, where he got the main decisions right. Booking Chadli and Rose was a disgrace. I hope the club appeals against the fine we are about to get

Kaboul, Mason and Rose were the clear standouts.

Ade... Should spend less time trying to make his hair look like Cauliflower and more time looking like he gives a shit.

Kaboul was fantastic, but I went for Capoue just to give him some props - thought he was great in there.

+
Mason
Solid defence

-
Adebayor in general
No pressing (which I think was a lot to do with Adebayor, his position needs to make the first step up so others can follow - he rarely did which disruped the players behind him)

Ade was beyond useless. Worst performance I've seen from him. And he's been beyond awful this year. He was even worse today than he was against West Brom. And that takes alot.

Kaboul, Hugo and Mason were awesome today.

Poch's tactics were great up until we scored.

Lloris made some spectacular saves! My MOTM, closely followed by Kaboul. I think everyone played well apart from adebayor... He was horrendous today!

No pressing
No pressing

The reason we are not pressing is because our forward thinking players cannot defend thusly pressing at this moment of time will be a waste of energy. If we pressed today like Southampton did under Poch we would have been out of gas come 65 mins.

When the transfer window closes, this is the Ade we get. Not at all surprising. Same every time

Lloris - 8 - Couldn't prevent the goal, but otherwise a series of solid saves and successful coming out for crosses.
Rose - 8 - Played sensibly and conservatively, dealt with most things that were thrown at him despite repeated diving attempts by Arsenal players.
Kaboul - 9 - Proper captain's performance, was absolutely immense. The kind of performance he used to put in when he was fully fit. Really happy for him.
Vertonghen - 8 - A worthy partner to Younes, read the game well and worked the ball away well, always looking for a useful outfield pass. Again, a performance of the type we hoped we were going to get consistently from him.
Naughton - 7 - Was absolutely pelted by Arsenal, particularly in the second half, but generally stood up well to it, didn't throw himself in.
Capoue - 6 - Faded in the second half but generally did a decent job of covering the defence and tried to work positive balls out from defence.
Mason - 6 - Good debut from the lad, more than justified his selection. A little more attacking than Capoue and gave as good as he got in the battle with Wilshere, until the concaine-snorting, ****-haired, foot-faced Gooner wanker admitted defeat and was subbed.
Lamela - 5 - Poor game from Coco especially by his standards. Gave the ball away too much and made too many poor decisions, and shanked his clearance for their goal. Still, was constantly trying to make things happen, played in the assist for the goal, and worked his arse off. More than can be said for some.
Eriksen - 6 - Didn't see a lot of the ball and wasn't great defensively, but made the tackle for the goal and did try and make some positive passes when he got the chance.
Chadli - 7 - Didn't do too much except score, but scoring a goal away against Arsenal is the biggest thing you can hope to do, and took his chance brilliantly.
Adebayor - minus 10 - Actively damages our football with his lazy ineptitude and inability to keep control of the ball, get into useful space, finish easy chances, or even fucking run about a bit.

Poch - 8 - Set us up well (lovely to see us playing counter-attack), generally made good decisions, but could've changed the game if he'd played or brought on Soldado for Adebayor. I'm convinced we'd have scored at least one more goal if Bobby had played in place of Ade.

Overall a decent performance, good result and nice to see us playing committed football against a big team and not giving in when we conceded.

That was the gameplan and I think it worked, they had space in front of our defenders but not not in their backs. And they didn't use the space we gave them, because we were solid in the middle (defense and CM)
