Power shift my arse, normal duties recommence so back down to earth with you lot

Its a pity Davison Sanchez had to lose his 1st match starting for us, against the Arse

Its also pity Ozil had to produce his best game for Arsenal this season against us. I still believe we should have started with Rose as Davies made Ozil look good

I am going to be controversial and give Sissoko MOTM

All of them were Utter shit bar sanchez and dembele
So he gets my vote
Gutless performance from our boys today and poor game management from the top.
And the less said about Mike fucking Dean the better.

Beating madrid seems like the players thought we are done today lacklustre lack of passion awful ball retention shocking finishing.
The goonies deserved the win I am sad to say.
Hopefully that's a massive kick in the nuts for our lads they deserve one for that display it was pitiful and painful to watch. :(

They were all poor, bar Sanchez. Can’t afford 9 off days and Sissoko on the pitch in games like that. Embarrassing, and fucking annoying that both of their goals were dodgy.

Sanchez the best of a poor lot.

Hugo falling backwards into the net for the second?? Stand up straight and it never goes in.

Sanchez and Sissoko were the only bright sparks.

Dele, Kane and Eriksen were atrocious.

Trippier, Davies and Verts well below-par.

Dier and Dembele hit n miss.

Sanchez good and unlucky to be on Losing side.

We just weren’t brave enough today 2nd to everything. Not sure if that was down to carrying injuries or the int’l break.

Lloris - not brave enuff for second

Trippier - not too bad
Sanchez - motm
Dier - not brave enuff for 1st
Verts - ditto Dier
Davies - not his best

Dembele - moves ball too slow
Sissoko - some meh, some good

Alli - not fit
Eriksen - after the lord mayors show

Kane - not fit

Son should have scored
Llorente ran about
Winks maybe should have been on from ht

(Anyone know how Lamela got on in the U23??)

i don't know what you guys are complaining about. spurs whole system relies on a strong midfield base. we started today with barbones midfield base in sissoko and dembele who has hardly had any minutes this season. stop being fannies.

No Toby= Dier CB and with no Wanyama= we're fucked.

When Sissoko is one of the two best players says it all.

No zip from Kane.

I don't think we played that badly but the front three killed us. Kane just didn't look fit so I won't blame him but Eriksen and Alli were an embarrassment.

6 - Lloris - Made some good interceptions and can't be blamed for the goals.
6 - Trippier - Some decent crosses and didn't do anything wrong.
8 - Sanchez - he didn't deserve to be on the losing side. Was superb. We have a real player here.
6 - Dier - Didn't do much wrong
6 - Vertonghen - Didn't do much wrong either.
6 - Davies - Same as trippier.
6 - Dembele - He was ok but struggled to grab hold of the game
7 - Sissoko - Worked hard and made some good runs and interceptions but I think his technical limitations hampered him today. Still one of the better players
3 - Eriksen - Well frankly it was a poor performance. Barely got on the ball and was very easy to brush aside once he did. Set pieces were crap as well.
3 - Alli - Worst player on the pitch - He fucked up near enough everything he did and I can't remember a positive contribution he made. When he isn't scoring he doesn't really do much.
5 - Kane - He wasnt great today but he still got involved more than Eriksen and Alli and clearly wasn't fit so I can't really criticise too much.

Winks - 6 - Did ok but nothing much of note
Son - 6 - Not a lot of time but nothing of note.
Llorente - 5 - Same again but I do notice that for a bloke whose speciality is winning headers, he doesn't seem to win many at all.

A disappointing result all round but frankly Arsenal haven't played that well in years and fully deserved to win. I am sure Poch is as annoyed as everyone is and I am fully confident we will bounce back. COYS

Sanchez the best of a poor lot.

Hugo falling backwards into the net for the second?? Stand up straight and it never goes in.

Tripps covered Sanchez run then instead of tackling him and clearing him out he ran away from him into the goal. Davidson would have taken man and ball and put AS into the stands

D Sanchez was excellent today. Free kick for the excellent tackle is as dumb as fuck a decision as I’ve seen for a long time.

I can understand why Sissoko is getting some love, but not from me. He has great energy and is very good at powering through the middle with the ball but he really has no end product. He can’t seem to weight a pass properly either, More often than not, it’s slightly behind the player forcing them to stop their run. And his control is still really poor in tight situations. Seems like a nice guy but he shouldn’t be in our first team. Not sure we had any other options today though with injuries and match fitness etc

Davies & Trippier were ok today too. All the rest had a bit of an off day.

Loris 6.0 for the splendid diving header in the second half
Sanchez 8.5 Great match. Having Toby would have helped him and he might not have looked so good in comparison to his teammates.
Dier 5.5 meh from captaining his country to looking very average in one week
Verts 6.0 As with Dier
Trippier 5.0 Played better after the final whistle
Davies 5.5 but Ozil owned him in the first half. Why didn't Rose play
Dembele 4.5 Very hard to shake off the ball but unfortunately he didn't win or gain
Sissoko 6.0 ran around a lot more than sometimes but not very effectively
Dele 4.0 He must have thought we were playing at home and then had to dash across London but didn't actually arrive.
Eriksen 4.0 He must have thought we were playing at home and then had to dash across London but didn't actually arrive.
Kane 5.0 Shouldn't have played. Under awesome.
Winks 7.0 Did twice as much as Dembele in half the time
Son 4.5 Son but no Lumiere
Llorente 5.0 if he doesn't get the ball he's never going to do much
Poch 5.5 Didn't seem to have much of a choice with those missing on the bench and others missing in action.
