Guys, put it down to a misunderstanding and move on.

We are through FFS. Can't we all just celebrate that fact together without the unnecessary drama?

I just watched the recording. The seconds after the final whistle was gold. Pure gold. The fans waiting, poch looking grim, the players looking serious, then suddenly the crowd erupted, then kane looked excited then approached verts who tjen pointed to the fans celebrating, then everyone started asking around for confirmation before finally smiling and hugging each other. Pure gold moment. I felt like crying. COYS!!! I love my club to bits
I think the spurs fans at the ground went early...on the BT coverage they showed the final whistle in our match, then they showed the spurs fans going mental as word went around about PSV/Inter...then the BT coverage switched to the last minute or so of that match.

The inter match went on for a couple of minutes after I think. I was watching spurs and had sky sports news on in the background. Le tiss was going mental at the ref not blowing up. Ryan Mason had our match

I didn't really want to air this in the thread either, but I'm just not entertaining that.

On ratings, I don't think there was a 9 out of 10 on either team and the closest might have been their keeper. I still dont understand how KWP had 4 votes for MoTM though.

I think the fans celebrated when PSG won a goal kick (or free kick) when 4 minutes of 4 minutes overtime had been played.

The ref then decided to play an extra two whole minutes of overtime for reasons only he can explain.

Someone's going to do it so it might as well be me, it was PSV:)
That said you are spot on with what happened.

You are missing my point.
Players will be judged whatever they do on the pitch especially when it leads to a goal for or against.

That was my whole point. Didn't warrant an essay on time management and player progression but thanks.

Wow, how arrogant. I stick by my point. Comparing Eriksen’s free kick with France’s last minute World Cup elimination was ridiculous. No need to reply with more nonsense. The Barca goal was part KWP error and part Dembélé genius. Blaming Eriksen for his free kick being cleared and associating that with Ginola’s last minute loss of possession in a WC qualifier a quarter of a century ago is fkin delusional.

Perhaps some people are viewing the fact that he didn’t crumble after that early error as a sign of great character. And after a team performance and result like that - where identifying a single motm is tricky - that character is what swung it for them.

End of the day, this is an Internet forum thread visited by amateurs who are sharing their opinions. If somebody has a different opinion to you that is surely ok right?

If you don’t understand somebody else’s opinion I reckon it’s more fruitful to discuss it rather than “wtf” it.

3 players who stood out were instrumental in Barca's goal. Eriksen with a dreadful set piece, Sissoko with a weak header and KWP not getting a sniff at Dembele. Therefore, I'm going against the grain a bit an giving it to Harry Winks

+100% from me
Was at Camp Nou and watched the full download too. Sissoko should be embarrassed to wear the same shirt as Winks. The passion and energy that Winks put out was incredible. The lad was everywhere, including the last man trying to stop the Dembele goal, while Sissoko was gently jogging away from his man.

Wtf is a neutral rating and I did discuss my opinion further, I could break down every one of my match ratings. I'd probably like to hear those who voted KWP's performance higher than Rose, Sissoko, Kane and Eriksen's in particular's reasoning.

I also think people have criminally underrated the shift that Dele put in.

I don't mean the rating mate, I meant the bit where you said "what the fuck were you watching". It's pretty aggressive and not a good way to hear the views of the peeps who voted KWP.

I'm as surprised as you about the lack of Alli love btw. I think the game would have been over by half time were it not for him. But I can totally see why people have voted for others.

What do you make about the vote for Llorente?!

Agree, I think people are overrating Sissoko's performances as he was so abject four us. So an decent performance is very high above his usual standards and you can understand why it's being overrated. Winks was amazing against the Barca midfield, he kept possession under their press.
