Nice to see that you're a clever bunch, Rose was by so far and away the best player on the pitch, drove us forward, never buckled, always played like he felt he should be on the winning side. It was actually a captains performance.

Yes he would have left if the right offer came in, yes he got injured, yes he hasn't been the same player. Yes we have an absolute class left back that offers so much more than being a left back, let's make him feel loved. So happy with tonight, absolutely made my Christmas.

Really surprised at some of the negative opinions about Alli tonight. I thought he was essential throughout the first half and was positive with his play. Lots of off the ball work by him as well tonight.

Great team effort. Mousa and Damny were both brilliant. KWP recovered excellently as well.

Great team effort. Mousa and Damny were both brilliant. KWP recovered excellently as well.

Dele worked his arse off, didn’t really happen for him tonight but he was very much a part of some of the great passing football we played.

Rose MOTM for me. Sissoko wonderful again. Eriksen was majestic with his passing at times. Lamela and Lucas fantastic off bench and shows how strong our squad is attacking wise. Everyone else put in everything out there tonight. We were brilliant overall and really should have won, we need to be much more clinical in knockout stages.

10 - Sissoko, Rose (MoM).
9 - everyone else.

Exceptional performance. Hope the boys will bounce into the Christmas period after that!

Poch - 11 - so much love for this man.

Our fans - 12 - incredible. Could be heard throughout and get a bonus point for the mental celebrations two minutes too early! if anyone can remove the commentary from the Lucas goal clip (like they did with Kane v Scum at WHL) I think it could be epic!

people on the match thread were saying Kane should have been taken off .Well I can say no Kane and we don't score that goal and all this "he has lost a yard of pace" is nonsense since when did he have pace?
You realise that walking and jogging are differing levels of pace?

Just because he's never been quick doesn't mean he's not slower than he was, the stats say he has lost quite a bit of pace since his injury last season. (someone posted them saying down from average top speed of 34kph to 24kph at the start of this season) seems quite a marked difference.

Watching the game again. Rose wonderful second half but Sissoko different gravy.

Created so much. Puts ball on plate for Moura at one end, takes ball off Messi at the other.

Amazing performance really. Controlled the tempo of the game for nearly the entire second half and deserved the draw at the very least.

Hats off to Poch too, he managed us fantastically tonight and deserves a lot of credit.

Sissoko

Rose and Sissoko are both reasonable shouts for MotM.

But Chrsitian Eriksen was on a different level to every other player on the pitch today. Something like ~60 passes at 90+% with a lot of them forward is ridiculous in itself, but even that doesn't tell the true story. It was a masterclass in vision and passing ability from an attacking midfielder. I said this in his player thread, but I'm still not sure if it was a good or bad thing that he put in that kind of performance in at the Nou Camp under their very noses. I'd hate for them to think of it as an audition. Also showed, once again, that he is a vastly superior footballer to Coutinho, as he always has been.

Lloris: 7
KWP: 6
Alderweireld: 8
Vertonghen: 8
Rose: 9
Winks: 8
Sissoko: 9
Eriksen: 10
Dele: 7
Son: 6
Kane: 8

Lucas: 8
Lamela: 7
Llorente: N/A

Between Rose and Sissoko for me. If Sissoko had that eye for a good pass/through ball/cross in the last 3rd he’d be the complete player on current form. He often finds himself in very good positions on the right wing and has in recent games provided the cross for Lamela’s winner against West Ham and also the surge that brought about the goal against Inter, but there are quite a few times when he wastes chances when in space on the right. Very good game tonight though. Amazing energy considering the amount of games he’s played lately. Really liking his surges with the ball that made him so good for France in the Euro’s a few years back.

I’m giving it to Rose despite his miss because it reminded me of old Rose. (Not from the golden girls). Hard as nails, ran up and down the line for 90 and didn’t bottle out of any challenge.

Special mentions to Kane who held the ball up excellently and Lamela, who was excellent when he came on. Everyone else was great. KWP will learn a lot from this game. He’ll probably play on Saturday and get MOTM and score the winner. #Foythstyleee
