Ode to the Spurs

Move over Liverpool, you bucket of Turd
We have overtaken you and now are Third

And for others watching the best team in the land
Our Champions League place is now in hand

The Cherries wondered what could have been
When they tried to stop this Spurs niggly win

But with the world watching its really a shame
They cannot beat the Spurs even when they are not on their game

And as for the Pundits, it will be hard for them to say
"You have to watch the Spurs when they play this way"

Now we all move onwards while they all watch
Me giving Christian Eriksen Man of the Match!

COYS!!

EXCELLENT Eriksen

VERY GOOD
Lamela Dele Son

GOOD
Lloris Sanchez Verts Wanyama Dembele Aurier Sissoko Trippier

FAIR Kane Aurier

POOR Rose Aurier

Aurier has been promoted twice, going from poor to fair then to good, for that assist for the 1st goal and then his goal
All subs contributed to thhe result of this game as Subs should do, well done

Anyway, well done aslo to @Mr Pink who predicted the score line even before the match actually started

With apologies to Sonny, Eriksen for me all day long. Ruled the roost from D-to-D. A fantastic display.

Dele, Son and Eriksen all stepped up after Kane went off. Joint motm. Lamela was excellent after he came on.
Aurier had a bizarre game, Rose ropey. Wanyama rusty as hell. Dembele a bit jaded.
Was difficult game and huge 3 points.

Show of strength today. Sonny rise to the occasion but I voted fro Eriksen- fantastic passing, skill and covering- and that tackle for goal three.

Quite obviously it is our maestro and most influential player in this team - Christian Eriksen

Eriksen Dele and Son both deserve MOTM, but I think Eriksen is more important than the other two players. He builds up the play. And our 3rd goal reflect how he works in defence.

Hugo - Ok

Aurier - Juventus. Very poor for most part of the game. But he got 1 goal and 1 assist. Strange.

Rose - No, Denny. No big clubs would buy you with this kind of performances

Jan/Sanchez - Good game

Wanyama - Gain Match fitness on the pitch. Very good game except the first few minutes

Dembele - Same as Wanyama.

Eriksen - MOTM. The numbers of goals and assists cannot entirely reflect how important he is to us

Dele - He has the ability. He needs to take more responsibility. It is the mental part of him hinders him to be a world class player. Today, I think he plays much better amid Kane's injury. Needs to carry the team from now on

Son - The best possibility cover for Kane in the world?

Lamela - Ok. Could be more involved I guess

Sissoko - 2 Key passes! 2 Key passes! 2 Key passes!

1-0 down when Kane limped off

One man team again!

Took Kane’s injury to wake the team up. 2nd best before that

Sonny & Sony Eriksen were mustard

Lamela did really well when he came on

Apart from a good cross for Ali, Aurier showed the same form as he did against Palace!!

I said this in the match thread - but Lamela has really impressed me over the last month or so. I think he has really changed how he plays - much more assertive on the ball, quicker passes, less dwelling on the ball.

I'd like him get the confidence to add some long-distance shot to his game - especially if he is cutting in from the right, so he can curl it with his left.

Lloris 6 - not much to do. Made a few decent saves. Distribution fine

Aurier 6 - would have been a lot less if it wasn't for the goal and assist

Sanchez 5 - not his best game

Vertonghen 7 - best of the back four

Rose 5 - poor crossing

Wanyama 5 - still not at the levels he was at last season

Dembele 6 - started poor but grew into the game a little. Still not fantastic

Alli 7 - good finish, all round game was good too. Would have had a higher rating had he started better

Eriksen 8 - controlled the midfield

Son 8 - two goals and took over in Kane's absence

Kane 5 - started all right, disallowed goal

Lamela 6 - started poorly, grew into the game well

Sissoko 6 - some good link up play, did well to (eventually) get the ball out to Trippier for Aurier's goal

Trippier 6 - didn't do too much. Assist for Aurier

Voted Lamela as the whole dynamic of the game changed when he came on. He dragged their players all over.
