Poor performance all around.

Our best midfielder on today's performance Sissoko, who even had a better game than Eriksen, was as subbed.

Poch put Lucas on the left in the 2nd half where he was ineffective, then subbed him. Why didnt he leave him on the right where he was a danger?

Despite the knee jerk by most on the match day thread, Aurier had a fairly decent game despite his misfortune of conceding that penalty

On this performance we can kiss the FA Cup goodbye on Saturday

No one deserves MOTM

Team just looks devoid of any creativity or intensity right now. Hopefully that'll change for Wembley this weekend. Honestly more concerned we get out of this slump and don't drop 5 points between now and the end of the season.

Alderweireld looked solid in his first proper game for about 8000 years. That's about the only positive..... Buuuuuuut then if he's departing shortly not sure it is a positive if he's playing his way back into form and fitness

Shows how good Toby is, albeit an awful performance, was the best performer first prem back for a long time. Can only hope for a improved contract but feel it is too late.

There were a few on the pitch who have not had much game time but that doesn’t excuse the pedestrian performance, devoid of any creativity. The only player I saw come out with any credit was Toby, didn’t put a foot wrong. If we lose him he will be badly missed. I would have liked to see Poch make earlier subs so he doesn’t escape criticism.
Toby MOM. The rest, not worth marking.

Don't understand why Lucas was on the left for the 2nd half?

Not sure what the game plan was there.

I thought wanyama was ok.

Serge is going to get panned, but I didn't think he was too bad overall. His end product for attack can be awry and I recall a couple of times when he messed up decent attacking opportunities. But he also created a couple. he is culpable of some clumsy play. The penalty incident was a shame. He had to harass their player otherwise we'd be shouting at him for not trying. Be interested to see what a run of games will give him.

I think most credit needs to go to Brighton and a typical Houghton defensive set up. They worked really hard and deserved their point. Spurs deserved no more.

I'm sorry everyone's entitled to their opinion etc etc but you can't have watched that game and thought sissoko was our second worse player?

That's just objectively false

No one deserves it in my book.

If you don't show up to work and put in a shift, you are not going to get any sort of praise from me.

It's 11 men and a coaching staff that choose to show up to the game and impose their style of play and wills. That was a classic display of us playing down to our competition. I just don't understand why we have such dips in application. Form will ebb and flow, but the general application of play should be somewhat consistent.

No pressure at all on an opposition of lower level players. Put them under pressure. Make them put themselves in unwanted situations just like the one goal we had.

It really is simple and this is why City have the lead they do on the table. They play the style of play that they are comfortable with every single time and they make the other team beat them. They press every single team and that is why against Brighton and others they have a 3-0 lead after 30 mins some games.

We have shown no growth in this realm in my opinion. We ebb and flow far too much in the style of play we apply to the game and that has to come down on Poch's shoulders. He has been amazing, but we need to address some of the big issues I see developing.

1. Pressure - This area of the game has gone missing for awhile now and for me it is necessary for every opponent. We need to bring back the full unit pressure and not this solo man pressing.

2. Belief - There are too many games where you can just tell by body language that they are not up for it. Why is this? Put these type of teams to bed in the first half and then take it easy. I still don't think we fully believe in ourselves as a team and that needs to strengthen.

Lloris 5 - looks nervous its spreading to those around him should be doing much better with that pen has spaghetti for wrists.

Aurier 6 - pen was harsh if he doesn't go with him he gets slaughtered its accidental contact it happens sadly.

Toby 8 - excellent have some of that poch....he may not sign a new contract or want out but he's still our best centre back.

Jan 6 - Was back to his old AVB jan whiney and sulky.

Davies 6 - Awful at times just looks like he's totally exhausted he should never have been left to fly to china to play for Wales he's not been right since then not one of players pulling out of games but I think every player that went out there has struggled since coming back.

Wanyama 7 - very good had to try and create which is not really his job but he didn't hide.

Sissoko 6 - Yeh...he's not very good at one touch passing being creative or dribbling or creating but he was better than a lot of the players out there. But still gets loads of abuse.

Lucas 6 - Meh....a bit weird flashes of class but also flashes of lazy sulkiness a bit of a luxury player.

Eriksen 4 - His worst ever game in a spurs shirt gave the ball away constantly jibbed tackles ducked and dived and just didn't seem to want to be out there.

Son 5 - Done well for the goal but did he do anything other than that? quiet and poor and also looks exhausted.

Kane 5 - Does not look anywhere near fit absolute awful at times heavy touches rustiness and general weak play everything you do not think about Harry Kane.

Lamela 4 - awful when he came on should have done much better with that chance.

Dembele 5 - seemed to come on and go into dembele shithouse mode where he should have been coming on and driving at them and driving us forward.

Llorente n/e but ultimate piss take from pochy throwing him on.

Pochettino 2 - Getting a bit pissed off with him he clearly has blinkers on when it comes to certain players, son was on fire and he's somehow managed to put the fire out. He's brought Harry back in who's nowhere near looking fit. He keeps repeating things that do not work. Worst of all the last few games he's just sat there in the dugout with little animation looking sorry for himself instead of getting at the players and getting them going.

<> Toby, Jan, Davies, Lloris, Son,
- Eriksen, Wanyama, Sissoko, Moura, Poch,
-- Kane, Aurier,

Either Kane is not fit or he is playing for himself. Probably a bit of both.
Eriksen was well of his normal quality but at least he put the effort in and was one of only a few ot actually try and press.
Aurier was shocking, His crossing was terrible. Another clumsy 'wrong side' penalty. When will he learn?
Sissoko played a few nice passes, but he just slows down play all the time. Wanyama and him as an axis in CM set the sloppy and slow tone for the night.
Moura - what a cameo at the weekend. I feel sorry for him he finally got his start with a lazy / unfit Kame at CF and the most uncreative CM partnership inside him, and the woeful Aurier behind him. 2nd half he did himself no favours.

Re Aurier. Was the pen harsh? Yes.

Is it a coincidence that hes given away 3 pens and been sent off this season? No.

Says a lot that after scoring our only goal, Harry is yet to get one vote for MOTM

might of done better if he had changed his studs at halftime

thought everything we did was poor, from press to passing to controlling the ball. not a stats man but that has to been in the region of our least amount of passes conversion.

think Brighton where superb, though my honest view if that was a penalty for their player catching Aurier, the slight nudge on Eriksen, and arm across Moura should of been spot kicks too

really hope that rotation doesn't cost us a top 4 spot, and with whatever our strongest XI is we can do something v Man U
