how did this turn into a sissoko bashing thread when the whole team was pretty putrid last night? oh yeah, Alli didnt start.
Fair enough but personally I think he’s putting in the effort - he’s just so limited a player that, most of the time, nothing much happens as a result of his effort. Last year he didn’t have a proper pre-season and coupled with his lack of ability/awareness and maybe being played in a position he wasn’t overly comfortable with, he just looked like a fish out of water. This season, there’s been obvious improvements in all departments but it’s still nowhere near good enough for a team challenging. For me, his flaws outweigh his positives by quite a lot.
I’ve seen effort (IMO) a bit of power, a bit of pace and he seems like a nice guy off the pitch. That’s as complimentary as I can be about him so far in a Spurs shirt.
Onomah?...if Poch hadn't pushed for the Sissoko acquisition, who would be able to fill in at midfield with Wanyama out and Dier forced to play CB because of injuries/suspensions?
