Sanchez, Vertonghen, Dele all excellent. Kane very good also but weirdly enough wasn't our best player with the hat trick.

Sanchez for me. Absolute rock. Harry just did what he does and would normally have got my MOM but Sanchez made us look so much better at the back. Big shout for Sissoko too who worked very hard, brought a great save our of Pope (twice) and put Kane's 2nd on a plate for him.

Sanchez - layed the platform for Kane.

Covered all the gaps, not least from Aurier,

If it's £42m, that's looking cheap, as he's looking nearer £60m

What really pleased me today is that we were on it from the first whistle. Too many games lately we’ve started slowly and it drives me mad. Great energy and tempo from the whole team. Dele was looking more like the player we know he can be. Maybe the Burnley fans getting on his back was just what he needed. Kane sublime. Sanchez fantastic, still the odd error but for a young CB he really is talented. Verts a rock. Those players stood out for me but everyone played well. Great way to bounce back from last week and set ourselves up for Xmas games.

Lloris - 6 - good moments, but mostly untroubled. He was lucky on their disallowed goal. He looked very weak goin for the ball in that instance.

Aurier - 7 - better defensively from him. He does have those wildcard moments which is worrying. The rotation shit needs to stop. Give him a few games on the trot.
Sanchez - 8 - he’s simply a very strong instinctive defender. His reading of the game will improve, and then he’ll be up there among the elite.
Verts - 8 - super Jan form today. Held everything together brilliantly.
Davies - 6 - had a solid defensive game. But was below average offensively.

Dier - 7 - best I’ve seen him play for a while. He clearly loves being a cdm, and it showed in a composed performance.
Sissoko - 6 - mostly based on his defensive display. Made it hard on their players to get control of the ball. But his attacking output was very average and probably always will be. In context of the game he helped us win the midfield battle.
Dele - 8 - wasn’t his best game in terms of output, but he looked more at home in a midfield role today. He gets high marks for tenacity and keeping his head in an exceptionally hostile environment.
Eriksen - 7 - had some good moments and played some impressive passes. But did disappear a few times.

Son - 7 - started well, and for the most part had a decent game. That miss though.... not good.
Harry - 9 - wasn’t just the goals today. His all up play was world class. Seemed full of intent and confidence. I know penalties are gimme goals, but given the level of rancor from their fans, he showed such poise and composure. The attitude of a winner. Sorry, but you can’t tell me there is a better forward than him in the PL.

Poch - 8 - didn’t like his team selection today, but turned out he got it perfectly right for the type of opponent we were up against. Leaving Dele on could have backfired, and it was a risk, that was worth taking, as it will do wonders for the kid’s confidence.

Those not voting for Kane as MOTM today

Are you seriously being serious?

I reckon there is a 50% chance we’d have dropped another 2 points without him and probably a 50% chance we’d have dropped all 3

Also if Harry hadn’t played I think a lot of player ratings would be a little different!!

Sorry, there is not any alternative reality in which Sissoko was good today. He got away with it because the rest of the team were on their game today. I say what I see and in game he looked like a league 1 player next to the rest. Time to stop this ridiculous experiment.

Much better all round today especially Dele.
Thrives on hate
Upped the pace from the off and got the early goal.
Should have scored at least 5.
Sanchez return a real boost.
Other results all in our favour apart from you know who.
5th. and above Arsenal. One point off top four.
Merry Xmas.

Top of the tree..........8......Sir Harry Kane.
Upper branches........7+...Sanchez, Verts.
Lower Upper.............7......Dele, Eriksen,Lloris, Dier
Upper Lower.............6......Aurier, Son, Davies.
Lower........................5+....Sissoko. ( Sorry, just not good enough no matter how hard he works)
.........................................Double miss cancels out his assist.Poor passing and control.

If we’d picked up sissoko for £15-20m I’d say it was an ok buy as a squad body . £30m was OTT. But he’s a handy squad member who with his pace and power gives us something we dont have. If we upgrade/ replace Dembele(age/fitness) Nkoudou Llorente I’d be quite happy to hang onto him.

I have to disagree with some. It thought Eriksen was awful today. Should have been subbed before our second goal imo

Very good game for Harry, Dele and Sanchez

Well awful is a bit harsh but I thought he didn't play well at all. Very surprised to see so many think he did.
