I was there today and we had a mixed match- some really good moments and some not so good.
Really happy with Lucas MOTM and the impact of all 3 subs.
Something that was really annoying me in the first half- Davies was wide open MANY times and was ignored mainly by JV and others. Before you all state that's because he's sh1t the second half he was given more chances and he was OK for me today.
Harry Kane off the mark in August will now open the floodgates for him to reclaim the golden boot

No idea where to put this but I’m watching MOTD and Mark Hughes is such a whiny twat, blaming the ref frequently yet not really able to accept he’s a shit manager riding his luck with yet another drooping club.
Thank you

haha, true. if Hughes is appointed manager of your club relegation is coming.

on a side note - he less than 2 years older than me and looks like he's in his 60s. I turn 53 Monday.

Lloris great when needed, Toby spraying passes from the back all day fantastic (pay up, the guy is a different class, so glad Utd missed out) and Moura stood out for me, Trippier got in many great positions often picking up Tobys passes but just thought he could have picked out a Spurs player a few times, promising but room for improvement, actually same with Moura getting in great positions, a little wasteful but promising for the future, so overall Toby MOTM for me today.

What like Moura scored a beauty and Ali ......did nothing productive.

Ali runs a fair bit . It's not his fault ball does not get to him. Even thpugh its only two games he has the energyI sense this will be a good season for him !

Finally, when I saw the team I was delighted.

Poch picked the team I wanted to see (except rose). He changed the team and showed balls putting on the right players at the right time.

Just a joy to watch us control possession and keep the ball.

As for individuals, well I thought Lucas was good with his industry and pressing and he is a real threat. There is goals throughout that team.

Dele, good and Kane better than his Newcastle outing. Eriksen looked knackered but still quality in possession. Trippier is such a threat, his crosses were a little wayward but on another day he gets assists, he is so much better when we have 3 at the back.

Lamela was a game changer and Dembele was excellent as well.

As for Fulham I was very impressed with how they dealt with the press, good in possession, they will do well this season.

Poch man of the match, his management of this game was superb. If we keep the players who played today fit (including subs) we have a chance.

On a side note, our attacking players are top class. Put son in that squad as well and we are incredibly strong.

That back 4 (3 cbs and Lloris) is as good as anything in world football today. Certainly the strongest in the PL.

When Lucas missed his second chance I thought his first touch was so bad that we’d signed another Brazilian to follow in the illustrious Spurs careeer footsteps of Paulinho and Gilberto. But what a difference a goal can make and now he’s set to become the next Ronaldinho, Neymar and Pele rolled into one... But I do think he can be a real asset this season.

Nice to see 2 goals from defenders this season so far. Already 50% of 17/18 total. We were heavily reliant on Kane Son Dele Eriksen for our goals last season. With nobody else getting over 2. Could easily be 20+ more goals in this team if moura Lamela winks Trippier and few others that are capable chip in. Actually quite ridiculous vertonghen with his technical ability hasn’t scored for 5 years. And don’t start me on Dembele.

The formation, I think that it’s a good format to get the best out of several players and I’ve longed for that midfield trio for about a year. Best part about it, it’s fluidity made the ultimately successful change more of a seamless tweak than a wholesale reshuffle, like one simple turn of a Rubik’s cube changed the pattern from being almost right, to absolutely right,

Could not agree more, perfectly worded.
Love this formation and how easily it can be tweaked (y)
