What a beautiful, elegant and dynamic player Dembele is. Great management by Pochettino.

Moura was fantastic all game. Read the game so well and worked so hard. Has fantastic touch in tight areas. Sometimes seemed like he was operating on a different level.

Dele was really unlucky not to headline today though. Worked hard, some great touches and got himself into wonderful positions. If team mates found him, he could have scored a few today and we'd be putting him on pedestal.

if you watched that game and think Dele did nothing productive there is no point in continuing this conversation.

The match I watched Dele got into good positions and his end product was poor/wasteful.
He does things better when he does them quickly rather than piss about on the ball and slow things down.
Shooting today was poor from some very good chances.

and you feel like he had better chances than the two Lucas squandered? Im not having a go at Lucas, you are having a go at Alli.

wasteful? you mean like Moura's header from 5 yards that went well wide? Or his one-on-one with keeper where he had a heavy touch and fouled the keeper?
Some of us think that Moura should be MOTM and some think Dele. They are just opinions, no need for a ball by ball, who done what post mortem

Started the game well and the first 20-odd minutes we played with a great tempo. Complete opposite for the start of the second when Fulham figured us out until we changed formation. I wish we wouldn't play 352, especially against a 433. We've been great in a 3421 and I wish we'd revert to that when we go to three at the back. We attacked well today, especially the first half, but the weakness in the system also exposes our biggest weaknesses. You don't get as exposed on the wings with a 3421 and don't lose any of the attacking benefits with it.

Lloris 7 - Done really well when called upon, especially on the Sessegnon chance.

Vertonghen 5 - An unusually poor game Didn't cover himself in glory for the goal and two of their better chances came from him being too deep.
Sanchez 6 - Let Mitrovic get the wrong side of him for the goal on the initial cross for the goal. Was fine other than that.
Alderweireld 7 - Good.

Trippier 6 - His crossing wasn't great (would have help if someone attacked the front post once in a while), but his overall passing was good and he defended fine.
Davies 6 - Also didn't cover himself in glory for the goal and defended poorly at other times. He somehow looked slower than usual today and his recovery runs were poor Offensively he got into some great positions in the first half without getting picked out. Set up a few chances after the switch in formation.

Eriksen 6 - Got into great positions but his final pass was bad. We ask him, and the other two, to cover way too much ground.
Dier 6 - Fine. Don't really like him on front of a back 3.
Alli 6 - Started and finished the game well. Had a bad middle though.

Lucas 7 - Great goal but should have had two well before that. Won the ball back a lot.
Kane 6 - Still not at his best, but much better than last week.

Dembele 7 - We were much better when he came on - the change in formation obviously helped too, but so did his presence.
Lamela 7 - Really good impact. Nice and direct for a change.

Dele frustrates me. Amazing talent. Just wish he had a bit more umphhh sometimes and didn't slow things down. 2nd half he got in some great position in the box on the left but his attempts on goal were poor.

Lucas missed 2 chances agreed, one of them self created. But he is quick in movement but also tries to move the ball quickly. I like that and wish Dele did it more often.

On the basis of the game moura should be MOTM and it appears the poll so far agrees with me.

Thought Lamela was really good as a sub. I was impressed with Eriksen, Trippier, and Lucas.

I think some of this is not understanding what Dele had to do in this game, and why. He's one of the few players we have, or anyone else has, that are both very offensively and defensively aware.

I'd be interested to see a positional map of his game today, because he had to support Dier in CM at times, chase back for defensive duties when needed in our defensive third, take on CM/AM duties at different times, link our attacking play from midfield to our forwards, and also be a forward threat himself!

First half especially, I thought both Kane and Eriksen were way off their game. I thought Trips was good positionally, but poor with his distribution, which is where we had most of of our attacking opportunities. All of this affects Alli's game, and he had a better game than each of those three.

I have Lloris as MOTM. If he had not saved us twice early on, the result could have been very different.

Poch changed the game by changing formation to a back four, but I’ve gone for Moura. Really impressed with his second half.

Moura gets MOM for his phenomal pressing and winning of the ball high up the pitch. Should have had a hattrick.

Lucas clear MOTM. Brilliant goal. Worked his fucking arse off all match and tired their entire back-line out, they were gassed by the 65th minute. Lamela coming on was the killer blow really.

Dele, Jan, Toby (thank fuck Poch swallowed his pride with this one) all excellent as well.

GReat to see Toby back and involved. Who needs a shiney summer signing. Long live Poch!

It was smart of Poch take off Sanchez rather than Toby which would have provoked comments like “ is this the last time we see Alderweireld in a Tottenham shirt ? “ and it also sent a positive message from Poch to Toby.

Dembele again brought composure to our midfield when we looked rattled after the equalizer. These past 2 games showed why he has to stay. That surging run from Lamela was good to see.

I think if we are going to play wing backs then Rose should play rather than Davies.

Am not getting how people thought Dele had good game today. I thought he was strolling around and produced next to nothing. Was also really disappointed in the quality of both full backs today. Trippier scores a great goal but he had he freedom of the right wing and had so many opportunities to play a decent ball, something which he is normally great at, but kept wasting the chance. Davies had none of complaints he balk in first half, and when he did find space in second half he showed absolute lack of quality with his balls, he seemed to just lazily play balls in without the care needed to make it a decent chance. They weren’t the only poor ones, Eriksen, Kane and Dier also looked off their games.

The game completely changed as soon as Dembele came on, hence I have voted him MoM. Suddenly, everyone looked better and we had some oomph. Lamela also showed some class when came in. Goes to show the impact the bench can have.

Not sure what I am doing in this thread without a comment by BC

Voted Trippier. Not sure we would have cracked them without his freekick. And somevery active display in the beginning.

Dele, Moura, Lamela and Dembele also with bright distributions

I think Hugo is also a contender for MOTM . Very quick to shut down a couple of their situations and a couple of good saves too.
