A game where we had most of the possession but seemed all players played within themselves, perhaps with the Juventus game in mind.

Good to see Verts back to his masterly self.

I think we have a gem in Moura, very positive cameo appearance.

This was not one of Lamela's better performances coming off the bench.

Aurier on the other hand had a much better game than his last appearance, where he also stopped their arguably best effort with a timely challenge in he 1st half

Sissoko is Sissoko

Dele was the most dispossessed player on the park, mostly due to him always trying things. A simple first time ball does work as well Dele

There were 3 corners given where Lloris ended getting the ball in the end. The thing is they were our corners

Son my MOTM

Dam Son

Otherwise a solid and professional performance by almost everyone. Nobody else stood out a bit.

++ : n/a

+ : Son (MotM), Sanchez, Sissoko (s), Moura (s)

<> : Lloris, Aurier, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Kane, Dembele

- : Dele, Eriksen, Lamela (s)

-- : n/a

> Eriksen just going through one of his occasional sticky patches. He always comes back, so no worries, but could do with him on form Wednesday.
> Sissoko was good. I don't mean "good for Sissoko". He was just good.
> Moura looks like he's gonna be lethal when he finds his feet.
> Sanchez continues to astonish me with how well he's slotted in. Like he's been there for years.
> Kane and Dele might have swapped places if Dele had the assist. Neither great today.

Overall, professional 3 points and well done to Poch and all 14 players.

Thought Vertonghen was good, having a left footed lcb is crucial to our teams dynamic

Davinson Sanchez looked very in command.
Amazing positioning and ball control for such a young player, in his first season, and adjusting to life in London as well. We lose the top defender in the PL, and Sanchez slots in seamlessly.

I've said it before, but whomever sanctioned that deal deserves a bonus.

Overall, I thought everyone did well enough. Son is the obvious MotM - great effort on and off the ball from him today.

Dele and Eriksen both seemed a bit off their game today - for Eriksen, a little deeper than he normally plays, presumably to conserve energy.

Sanchez and Vertonghen - playing very well together. Davies another consistent performance. Aurier a little dicier - less ball control - but did well enough.

Dier and Dembele (and Eriksen) - controlled the midfield the entire match.

Kane - looks a little tired again - puts in so much work off the ball - great assist for Son's 2nd.

Lloris - nothing to do - only a couple of dodgy passes.

Son was electric and I hope/think the reason he went off early was to be fresh for Juve.

Otherwise mostly pluses, Dele and Kane with two good assists, the latter's was magnificent. Davies made a good and important challenge to deny a huge chance. Verts was solid. Professional job.

The one I will criticise a bit is Lamela, he made some really weird decisions in possession where the right ones should've seen us score more.

Lloris............6.....One Great save. Otherwise stole a living for yet another week.
Aurier...........7......Better throw ins in fact better all round.
Sanchez.......7+....Does the simple things simply.
Vertonghen..8......Commanding performance. Pity the Queen wasn't there.
Davies..........6......Poor today. Some strong challenges but little going forward.
Dier..............7......Good mainly.
Dembele......6.......Always available but nothing much came of it.
Eriksen.........7......Ticked over nicely but never got out of second gear.
Dele.............7.......Ball for the first was a gem. Tried plenty, not much worked
Son..............8+.....Lively as always .Two nice goals. My MOM.
Kane............7.......Lovely assist for the second. Otherwise not much to report. Had chances.

Dominant but not really challenged. Huddersfield defended well mostly but caught out occasionally..
That's like saying they were good except when they weren't.
·3 points, 16 undefeated, clean sheet. Over to you Liverpool Chelsea and United.Whose gonna blink first.

Two great finishes from Son. I like him but let's not pretend he was Gareth Bale ffs.

I thought Davies and Aurier made some great tackles and Vertong and Sanchez were comfortable. Everybody else was ok and a very professional performance

I’m a bit mystified at this comment. The only person who’s brought Bale into the equation is you.

Son played well, gets a deserved MOTM, where is the problem?
