Voted for Mason.over the 90 minutes he was our best player.
It's good news week.
Get yourselves over to the ITK thread. The Togolise Crowned Prince of Egotown, the gangsta ant of Lilliput and Kaboul the Warrior Clown have apparently marched into the glorious revolutionary gaffer's office all indignant at being asked to do proper work for a living and piss whining about the younger players refusing to doff their caps to them and shit, and have apparently been told the by Che Poch, judging by the lineup today (the ITK has it that Lennon only made the bench due to a shortage of options) that they have two choices, his way or the fucking highway, even if the highway turns out to be playing three way FIFA round Aaron's crib in the hood for the next 6 months.
this is where that particular piece of itk falls down for me though. he could've called up a youth player instead(ball was on the bench afterall) and not only was lennon in the squad but he came on as well when he could've brought ceballos on instead. maybe there is something to the info but i don't think lennon's in the dog house as much as you'd hope.
Walker's back in a few weeks. But I know you have an irrational hatred of him so....We desperately need two full backs who can attack and get beyond the opposition's midfield. Rose can do this and we have young fb's coming through who can. Even Chiriches did it better than Dier and Naughtone usually do.
For me, right now, Lamela and Eriksen have to play whether we play 4231 or 433, and in this system full backs must provide the worth, stretch the opposition and provide a contrast to the inverted attackers.
We are narrow, but Lennon isn't an answer, we know this, we've seen him fail game after game year after year. He can't beat people and when the opposition sit deep he's completely moribund.
Even today he spent much more time inside than he did wide. And made just one successful pass into the box.
Gotta back BC up here, it's not irrational at all. Walker has an uber erratic temperament which is totally incongruous to his job as a defender.Walker's back in a few weeks. But I know you have an irrational hatred of him so....
Still miles better than any other RB we haveGotta back BC up here, it's not irrational at all. Walker has an uber erratic temperament which is totally incongruous to his job as a defender.
I hope poch can work on him though, we certainly need his pace up and down that line right now.
I can guarantee you if we play both lamela and eriksen against everton we're gonna get battered. I think they can only play together in a 433 as it stands and that's not gonna happen. We desperately need two full backs who can attack and get beyond the opposition's midfield. Rose will be sold in the sumemr imo. I don't think it gets any betetr with him, he's a limited player.Still miles better than any other RB we have
Oh, and you're wrong
BC will probably suggest that we play an 18-year-old who's looked decent for the U18s instead of Walker.
Walker was one of our best players last season before he got injured. I'm looking forward to him coming back, especially since Poch has completely turned Rose around for the most part.

Eriksen is not physical and has no interest in being so and that is a problem and it will prove to be restrictive in how we play him until poch has his way with the squad and can offer proper protection around him.
Chiri is much more adventurous down the flank but - you probably noticed - he did flick the suicide switch 2/3 times today and could well have given them a penalty for his nudge on whoever that chap was trying to score in the final mins.
We're a proper fucking mess.
Agree about the fullbacks: Yedlin, walker, fredericks battling it out for RB and Arw would be nice. Even using yedlin at LB on occasion just for the speed factor down that flank until we can flog rose and bring another LB in could be a solution.
Something like...
Lloris
Walker Dier Verts Yedlin
Mason Stambo
Fredericks Lamela/Eriksen Chadli
Kane
Would give us the flank range we need and Mason would be able to join in the attacks more freely knowing his partner woldn't be in the shit as the FBs and Ar/l wingers have good recovery in them.
Refs are extremely reluctant to send 2 players off in a game. They don't want to risk it being wrong as it makes such a dent in a team.Just watching MOTD now, that tackle on Mason by Livermore was diabolical and the ref has a clear view of it and just completely bottles it. I'd much rather that was a red than the silly shit Ramirez did.
That was a red card all day long.
Yes, like Azpilicueta.Yedlin is totally right footed isn't he?
Yes, like Azpilicueta.
Has he?He still has a strong left peg. Yedlin doesn't as far as I'm aware.
