I thought aurier played really well tonight.

Went with Jan for MOTM as you wouldn't have known he was injured for several weeks with that performance, just slotted in perfectly and put on a great display.

Didn't think that was possible according to some...or one person on here ;)

Take a trip over to The Fighting Cock, that's where he posts nowadays.

Here's the last thing he posted in their Sissoko thread though, 15 mins before today's match:

"Sissoko doesn’t have to make an overt fuck up to “cost us” something, having a player in our midfield that takes three touches to control the ball, treats the ball like a hot potato, continually passes behind or at people in a way that means they can’t take a ball in stride, passes the ball by numbers with no incision or wit, doesn’t read the game well at all - is costing us, it’s just much harder to quantify than when a defender gets done and we concede a goal. "

Just knew he would be posting something like that.

If you can't take some joy from Sissokos change in performance the last month then what's the point in watching this beautiful game in the first place.

I think tonight showed moura and lamela are very much the understudies. Ok to play one in a game but both weakens us. But fine for rotation in the lesser games. But the Chelsea team plus vertoghen and maybe winks for Dier is very much the current A team.
Bar the Chelsea game Eriksen and Son have not been to great, whilst Lucas and Lamela have had decent starts to the season so far. Nice to have a dilemma for places, but wouldn't cement Son has a sure starter based on one good game this season

Sissoko MOTM. Aurier and Vertonghen not far behind.

The turnaround by Sissoko has been nothing short of spectacular. Aurier clear first choice right back now. He's magic, you know.

I think he was booted which is a massive shame. Not least because I would LOVE to hear what he thinks about Sissoko’s current value to this team :ROFLMAO:

Fair enough. Had the bloke on ignore for about 5 years so can’t say I noticed!

Lucas very poor tonight. He’s definitely a hot and cold type player.

Both Lucas and Lamela bad tonight, certainly seems like our strongest XI has them on the bench at the moment. Great options to have on the bench though, shows how strong we have become

thought Deli was very good tonight, too. He's dropping deeper lately and doing more of the midfield dirty work.

Thought it was a solid performance all round. Inter are better than some think. Valero and Asamoah were excellent and they defend very well. Took a great performance to beat them.

At first it felt dirty and wrong giving Sissoko man of the match, I used to think what if ppl find out I voted for him will they treat me differently, but now it’s out in the open I feel relieve it’s not just me who’s start starting to vote for MS!
Are u kuwaity in disguise?

Hugo 7 - not needed much and when he was delt with it

Aurier 7 -solid defensive work again
Toby 7 -solid
Jan 8 - pure silk
Davies -7 fine defensive work

Winks -7 very good display at this level

Lamela 6 - involved alot but nothing good came from it
Lucas 6 - couldn't really get into the game
Dele 7- good skillful play, nice assist
Kane 6 - decent hold up play at times but didn't offer much else

Erisken 8- +1 for getting the winner, wasn't an easy chance really.
Dier -NET
Son - nice brief cameo

Sissoko 9 MOTM - stronger than everyone else, faster than everyone else, superior stamina than the rest. Well it's taken a few years but it seems he's finally adapted to earth's atmosphere and our nourishing yellow star.
Now he's unstoppable

turn to the bench i think pochettino says something about ''sissoko again' and the assistants have a look on their faces like they lost some crazy bets with the most expensive wine! LOL

Lloris - 7 Didnt have much to do but made a crucial save.
Aurier - 7 Folks, I think we have our first choice RB.
Toby - 7 Good performance
Jan - 8 Rolls royce and he just got back from injury lol
Davies - 6 Much better defensively from him recently but still so poor in attack. His cross cannot beat a man for anything
Winks - 7 Played very well tonight. Love him. Unlucky not to score on that shot
Sissoko - 9 Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. What a game! Man of the match.
Lamela - 5 Not great tonight. But worked hard as usual
Dele - 6 Wasnt the best performance from him.
Lucas - 5 Hardly noticed him. Not a good game from him
Kane - 6 Was okay

Son - 7 Played well coming on and provided a spark straight away
Eriksen - 7 Winner.

Nah, you're just showing selective memory. The same you said about Moura and Lamela can be said about Dele and Son, it's just that the later two are the ones going through a purple patch.

Watching the game again and whilst Lamela wasn’t stand out his chasing when we don’t have possession is still relentless.

Jan for me. Some vital blocks and tackles. You’d never guess he hadn’t played for weeks.
