Vorm 0 - his failure to kick it long and insistence to keep playing it short invites pressure and creates nerves

Davies 1 - if he turns his back or backs off his man one more time the next time I meet him I’m going to strangle him.

Bloke has been dreadful this year even more wales! Looks so tired and unfit and fat!

Jan 3 - reminds me of the sulky Jan we had under sherwood

Sanchez 7 - done well doesn’t deserve to not be in the team

Aurier 9 - proved in 90 minutes why Kieran Trippier is so vastly overrated he offers so much more in both defence and attack but is capable of panicking or making silly decisions but unlike Trippier least he is fit and physical enough to be there :). Least he does not just watch his runner run away.

Dier 0 - what is the point of him? He does nothing just runs side to side doing nothing

Lamela 5 - tried hard lacked quality

Eriksen 5 - see above

Son 5 - see above

Kane 2 - should have scored look better in the second half.

Winks 0 - the worst 30 minutes I have seen in a spurs shirt of any of our players in the last 5 years dreadful

Lucas 7- done well

A lot of people slating Dier and Davies, and rightly so. Only one man responsible for them both still being on the pitch at the final whistle though.
It's like he's trying to make a point or something by highlighting what he likely thought were our biggest weaknesses. Bizarre.

Ours to lose and we obliged. Almost a famous victory. The lost ten CL minutes returns.
Cows come home late again, but as Poch says 'they can't tell the time'.

Full cream...........7+.....Aurier. Eriksen
semi-Skimmed....6......Verts, Sanchez, Lamela,
Lactose free.........5......Dembele, Son, Vorm, Kane
Cow Pat................4.......Davies, Dier.

It was Aurier for me until full time when the full impact of Lamela being taken off was felt.

3 key things were very telling:
1: something has happened to Dier passing. It's negative and always losing in dangerous positions now
2: Poch has got it in his head the likes of Lamela and Son must be subbed. I agree with Son due to no time off but it was same last year.
3: we need Son, Lamela and Lucas on the pitch together. They have energy and pace, and without them our pace is shocking. More worryingly, so is our energy

Dier and Davies passing absolute woeful tonight. Davies had the summer off but had looked well off the pace this year

Wow, that was a shower of shit.

Good: Aurier and Eriksen
Ok: Lamela, Sanchez, Vertonghen
Bad: The rest.

It seems that Poch has lost his way a little, overthinking things and its impacting the players. He just needs to revert back to 4-2-3-1 for a period of time for the team to regain some confidence and stability.

We started off slowly but when we reverted back to the 4-3-2-1 we were in total control. He then placed another CM on in Winks and we lost all territorial advantage and invited Inter to come at us. Yes, it was a wonder strike, but how is Icardi on his own near the edge of the box, with 4 Defs and 3 CM's present? Beggars belief.

Kane and Eriksen are our talismen and it was good to see Eriksen play well but Kane is a mile off it.

Wanyama. Whats the deal? How can he not get a game ahead of a very poor Dier at the moment?

Michel Vorm

Acrobatically parried away Sanchez's header across his own goal to safety midway through the first half. Comfortably held Perisic's header just before the hour mark. Picked up a yellow card for time-wasting in the final ten minutes. Could only watch Inter's two goals fly by him into the far corner. 6

Serge Aurier ?

Defended solidly and made a good interception early in the second half to deny Icardi, which was one of many. Got forward to support the attack on plenty of occasions. Had been one of his best defensive displays for Tottenham until he left Vecino alone in the final moments after the initial ball came in and the Inter man grabbed the winner unmarked. 8

Davinson Sanchez

The calmest player on the pitch in the nervy early minutes of the match as others fluffed their passes and control. He made one acrobatic overhead kick before a header across his own goal had to be parried away by Vorm. Picked up a yellow card before half-time with a loose tackle after finding himself out of position. Defended well in the second half and got an important header to a cross in the final moments to send it over his own goal. 7

Jan Vertonghen

Was closed down a lot by the Inter attackers and had to find a way out or put Davies under pressure. Picked up a yellow card for a cynical challenge early in the second half. 6

Ben Davies

Inter also put plenty of pressure on the Welshman and gave him little space down the left to move and he had a nervy start to the match. Offered less going forward than Aurier. 5

Eric Dier

More sloppy, overhit passes in the vein of those from Saturday in the first half, but in terms of his positioning he screened the back four well from open play. 6

Mousa Dembele

A mixed bag. Sometimes strong in possession and sometimes overrunning it and gifting the ball to Inter. 6

Christian Eriksen

Curled in a low free-kick which Handanovic parried away on 12 minutes. Played a delightful ball over the top to Kane on 35 minutes which should have led to Spurs' first goal. His goal was the big old touch of luck Tottenham needed. His first shot was palmed out by the keeper and the ball found its way back to him. The Dane's second shot deflected up and over Handanovic, who could only get a fingertip to it as it looped into the net. Worked hard throughout the game. 7

Erik Lamela

Tried to link up the play behind Harry Kane in the centre before switching with Eriksen on the right throughout the second half. Sent a low shot at goal on the hour which Handanovic parried out and then had a great opportunity in front of goal but couldn't sort his feet out. Was put through by Lucas soon after but tried to get wide to play it across to Kane and the keeper closed him down. Always positive in his play but should have been more clinical himself as he was on Saturday. 6

Heung-Min Son

Struggled to get involved in the game down the left. Did send a bouncing shot at goal just before the hour mark. Had the ball in the net soon after but was offside. Was replaced on 63 minutes. 5

Harry Kane

Put through by Eriksen in the first half but tried to round the keeper and ran out of room. Worked hard, held the ball up well but that was his big chance and he couldn't take it. 5

Subs

Lucas Moura

Came straight on and tried to take the game to Inter with some driving runs, setting up Lamela for what should have been a goal. Beat players at will with his dribbles forward down the left as Inter's tired legs struggled to keep up. Curled a late shot well over the bar. 7

Harry Winks

Replaced Lamela to add more legs to the centre of the park. Worked hard and flashed a strike wide of goal in the final six minutes. Couldn't get out to beat Vecino to the ball in the final seconds. 5

Danny Rose

Replaced Kane late on and the corner which brought the match-winning goal came from his block. N/A

Gutted with the result. Again made the mistake of giving the ball away very very cheaply. Again we concede a goal from a header. Something is very wrong at the football club and it needs to get sorted out fast. We're currently homeless, after the Manager said we needed to be brave in the transfer market, what do we do...sign nobody and become the first Premier League Club to ever do that and now we've just lost our third game in a row. Early days yet I know but something just seems off at the moment.

watched a different game than most of you. Dier broke up their midfield play all night, and was the only one consistently doing that. He didnt do much else but he never does much else, hes a DM and played like a DM.

It wont matter who we play if we cant learn how to defend a corner.

Good'ish - Aurier, Eriksen, Lamela, Moura
OK - Son, Dembele, Verts, Sanchez, Winks, Vorm
Utter gash - Dier, Davies, Kane

There is no leadership on the pitch. No-one driving the team forward. If Kane isn't scoring, then we need someone to spark the players.

Nevermind Trippier and Toby, Wanyama might as well have stayed in London. How is he going to get match fit if he never gets on for more than a few minutes, and tonight not at all ? We have to watch Dier being more and more abysmal and yet still no Wanyama. If he is not fit he shouldn’t be on the bench and if he is then play him ffs.

I don't think that aspect of good game is the issue, its the on the ball. He was their biggest attacking threat in the first 10 mins with his sloppy passing. In his position he needs to be the most calm cos he needs to get the ball from defence into midfield. Yesterday his passing was a massive issue first half. Second half much better.

I'm wondering if losing his starting place in the world cup knocked his confidence

On the positive , there was the first sign , fleeting tho , of our Kane (5.5) Christian (7) showed up at last too . Bit of the 2nd half we briefly looked ourselves again .

But somethings up with us inc motivation probs . I HATE how we are going back to old times where our defenders simply allow crosses to come in .

The players have to take greater responsibility I don’t blame Pochettino totally. Their first goal was a worldly but I thought the Inter player had far to much space to cross.

I get all the negativity going around I was as pissed as anyone when we lost just like Juventus it was there for the taking and some how we managed to buckle.

The press will have a field day ie first time poch lost 3 consecutive game and now the Brighton game looks tough.

I hope people will try to stay level headed about this poor run I’m sure it’ll pass and let’s hope the players realise if you want to be the best you’ve got to work damn hard mentally tactically physically. Including Kane fuck all this tiredness shit power on.

And for the record Aurier although he’s along with Alli Sissoko and Dier are the wiping boys is a better defender by far than Trippier key word defender.

Genuinely impressed by Aurier last night, and very happy for him as I think he's been written off as a dud by many of our fans, which is unfair as somewhere in there there's a fast, powerful and skillful full back - something we're sadly lacking. His temperament and decision making need some work but his potential far out-strips Trippier's. Our MOTM by a long way.

Left back is a deep concern. Davies is nowhere near good enough for a CL team, and Rose is on his way out, if not in January then certainly in summer. Surely a position we need to be looking to upgrade in January.

Dier was terrible yet again, Dembele looks tired, and starting Kane ahead of Moura and/or Llorente against Brighton given his shocking lack of form would be illogical for me.

Vertonghen looked bored. I see him as our leader on the pitch and I expect better from him.

Lamela and Eriksen had the right ideas and were our only sources of any creativity, Eriksen's ball to Kane was delicious, should have been slotted away with ease. I worry that either one or both of them may look to force a move in January.

Reserved judgment on Winks for a long time as he has been very unfortunate with injury but I can't help feeling that he's still dining out on one great performance at the Bernabeu. Serious and rapid improvement needed.

Think Vorm has been hard done by. Yes he's been in goal for our losing streak but very few (if any) of the goals we've shipped can fairly be blamed on him.

The one where it fell to him with his back to goal and hit it on the turn was his "easiest" chance, unless you're gonna criticise him for not scoring from 18 or 25 yards.

It was a chance , one of many which is what i wrote.

Lamela could have put the game to bed and didn't , thats all i wrote and its a fact not a criticism.

Come on that's ridiculous.
One was deflected wide which was going in
A shot the keeper saved from 20 yards and if he'd squared it Kane Son were offside.
One on the turn which the keeper saved (which he could have squared for Kane but most players would have done exactly the same)
So 3 chances which were all on target and its his fault we lost.
Im more annoyed with Kane for rounding the keeper and fluffing an open goal and Poch for his substitutions.

Wtf is ridiculous about saying a player could have put us 2 up if he had taken one of his chances.....
