Lloris needs some love. He dived and caught balls and even kicked.

He did well. Good positioning etc. Although I recall a couple of wtf moments with his distribution again. Clumsy passes from the box that the opposition pick up, which then invites unwanted pressure. That's being uber critical though. He is still a top keeper. I just wish he'd compose himself more when trying to play a quick pass.

I don't think that Harry Winks
is back yet to his pre-injury form and level.
Lacking the confidence to do the difficult things.
But I feel as the injury memory fades
that he will do so.
Form,class anybody.

Against Barcelona would be good
but perhaps a bit too soon.

IMO Dele was our MOTM with Son coming in 2nd.
Great having the Belgian duo pairing at the back once again. Gave us the stability and strength that imo we been lacking. Finally kept our nil.

Missed 2nd half, why did Kane and Eriksen come on?

It surprised me that we let Kane and Eriksen play. Didn't have much of an impact on the match itself. It was already finished by the time they came on. Would much rather see Skipp and maybe Nkoudou play some minutes. KWP replaced Aurier which came off with a limp. Hopefully nothing serious

In this game we really saw why Dele is one of our most important players - best player on the pitch by a mile.

Dele Son Toby Jan was what won us that game and have the needed quality to take us to the next level. Rest of the players in the starting 11 is pretty average tbf.

Still giving it to Sonaldo for the wonderful goal and assist.

Sissoko has been useful to us ever since we signed him but lots of people either don’t or didn’t see it or chose not to
Oceania was at war with Eastasia. Oceania had always been at war with Eastasia.

Sissoko's playing really well this season. And he absolutely HASN'T been useful to us ever since we signed him. Both are true.

Son or Dele.

Jesus, the difference having Toby and Jan together at the back again though... solid.

I really felt it helped Dier to as they worked seamlessly between Dier playing in mid and dropping back into the back line.

Dele man of the match for me but we were really solid up the spine all match.

Considering we were 2-0 up at the time I was hoping that GKN, KWP and Skipp would get to play.

Funny how much stick Davies is getting. Thought he was rather solid, especially later on when we were seeing the game through.

Just some stats for some context:

Clearances- 2/ Interceptions-2 / Tackles(won)- 9(8)/ Dribbled Past- 0/ Duels(won)- 18(13)/ was fouled-1/ fouls-1 Accurate passes-71% Key Passes-1

Looks like he really got stuck in well and held his own defensively, while also setting up Auirier for a free header the back post and played a big part in Dele's goal.

While of course if we are to seriously challenge for titles and silverware we need a more athletic LB, but as a backup Davies always puts his best foot forward.

This post is far too intelligent for a football fan site. Stop it!
