Poch MOTM today. Tactically he got it right after break and subs were hugely influential. We were very ropey first half but mentally we overcame something I've not seen us do since Poch took over.
Magnificent performance second half and even though we should have won it really was a very good result.

Very surprised but pleased he took off Sanchez. That wasnt a typical Poch sub.

So sick of sanchez ALWAYS passes back to keeper- after our corner, and every spurs player in fromt of him, with plenty of options- pit us under pressire once again by his obsession with passing back.

Has it occurred to you that he may be doing what his manager has asked him to?

Dembele and Verts were excellent.

I thought Dele played really well apart from his dive. He’s not getting the same stats as before and a lot of what he does doesn’t come off but he’s such a busy **** and he shows for everything. We’re a much better team with him in it.

Davies was very good too. Dier, along with most of the team, performed much better in the second half. Dembele, Verts and Davies were good all game and I think Verts edges motm.

Sanchez has looked a bit nervous for a little while now. I wouldn’t necessarily drop him as that may wreck him but if Toby is fit next week and we don’t play a back 3, I think he’ll be rested.

Deserved to win after the second half performance but happy with a point, keeps us in touch.

Davies was brilliant and consistent from the start. For that he gets MOTM, from me, over Vertonghen.

Exactly this.
Plus, he had a mare, lost a load of confidence, as a result took the easy option most of the time - he doesn’t always play those passes, he’s been getting more probing recently.

I went contrarian and said Son. He didn't generate the chances or shots that led to goals, but I thought he was easily our most dangerous player as long as he was out there. I would never have subbed him if I was Poch. I think he was unlucky not to get into the goal/assists today with all of his opportunities to run at the weak plop backline with pace. He was good on the press too as always.

Vertonghen obviously in the convo today as well. Perhaps he is helped by the side by side comparison between himself and Sanchez (who had a terrible game), but he was rock solid as he almost always is these days.

Davies motm for me. Kicked their players up in the air a few times and it wound up their fans, which is what football is all about really

dele was my man of the match even his dive wasn't as bad as some of his others. kane was just tired old man kane. left his leg in there for technical foul was never gonna try n get the ball in the net was just looking tired most of the game. still close to bagging a few. i don't see a fresh kane getting owned by van djikk like that. needs a break look how fresh eriksen was last game after his break through illness.

Verts was awesome.

Thought dele had a very good second half...horrific dive notwithstanding.

Davies also played reaĺly well.

Agreed, but I bet Pochetino will play him against Newport... again

Yeah, Vertonghen for me. He has been imperious this season, he really has.

I can't remember ever seeing Dembele play like he did second half, 5 or 6 defence splitting passes kept them under pressure for a good 35 minutes straight
