The first half saw us soaking up their very sharp plays for the first 10 minutes or so until we started to take a foothold in the game thanks mainly to our defence Winks, Dembele, Moura and Eriksen. Dier was dire in this half (my opinion) where a few of their attacks started with him either not reading the game properly or lacking judgement therefore giving the ball away.

Second half just as poor especially as Trippier decided to match Dier in poor performance. Liverpool seemed to play the game in 2nd gear while we huffed and puffed without a clue. No coincidence we seemed slightly better when Dier went off and both Lamela and Sonny came on. Liverpool was the better side and deserved the three points despite the sloppy goals we (Vorm)conceded. The only consolation if you can call it that, neither Mane or Salah scored against us.

Very poor performance by us, so I am giving Lamela MOTM for at least trying to force the issue, all be it late and for scoring the only "proper" goal in the match

Toby, Verts and Moura of the starting XI emerge with credit.

Lamela tried but had too little help. Son did almost nothing but should've had a penalty. Wanyama sadly wasn't significantly better than Dier, but I want to see all three start v Inter. We need a shake-up, too many players believed their own hype after the United game.

The only forward pass played comgortably into the strikers feet was by Wanyama in about the 80th minute. Says it all we were pressured so much in the middle. We need a mental & physical boost with good news about the stadium

Vorm - Negative 8

Trippier / Rose - 4

Toby / Jan - 5

Dier - negative 10

Dembele - 5

Winks - 6

Eriksen - 4

Lucas - 7

Kane - 1 (needs a rest? Maybe a kick up the ass )

Lamela - 8 (should have started in place of Dele)

Son - 7 (just good to have him back)

Vic - N/A

Shit mentality today, real fear in the midfield and we got overwhelmed. I am going to erase this from my memory, I hope Poch makes the players watch the whole 96 minutes today as punishment. Embarrassing performance, And Levy pisses me off today with his face. Fucking around with signings, the stadium must be having a knock on effect.

How lamela is top at the moment is a mystery. Lucas was our best player over the 90 by a mile

if you can't pass the ball with accuracy you won't beat teams that can. we could of lost easily by 5 or 6 but every attack they had was gifting them the ball. we was losing the ball when they wasn't even pressing the passer, and if you can't pass the ball accurate their press picked up the lose ball every time.

I really like Moura, but not sure if him playing up so high is nullifying Kane

So much for Toby coming in and us being solid. All over the place at times.

Dembele is too broken to play DM on his own.

Dier was just so so poor today. However Wanyama somehow looked even worse.
Trippier doing just as I assumed and being horrendous as soon as he comes up against a decent winger.

Kane got no service but I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with him physically anyway. Looks a shadow of former self.

Eriksen flaky, lazy and a coward in this game.

Lucas tried, sometime failing but I think it summed us up that him beating 4 players was only way we created a chance.

Lamela good and deserves a start.

Winks looked like a player who hasn't started games and shouldn't have started.

Vertonghen looked a bit creaky and not composed.

Vorm to blame for two goals but blameless for the loss and did make a couple of saves.

Poch has to take a lot of the blame. I don't understand what he expected with this formation and choice of personnel. Of the 6 midfielders and attackers 5 of them weren't in a role that suits them. I hate this two up top and really hope today ends it.

He seems to want to play every formation this season except the two which have served us so well. Overcomplicated things this season and the players are definitely not pressing as much and look painfully nervous and lacking confidence. Bit worrying if I'm honest.

Lucas and Lamela. Other players need an extra month holiday. And hey, we are going to play in the mid-week

I blame Levy. Seriously. The biggest problem of Poch is that he should force Levy to seriously back him up like Kloop by all means.

It's very telling when you have a sub as MOM. Lucas would have had my vote, but it was Lamela who came on and looked decisive. This guy has an uncanny knack of driving us and inspiring the team and imo is the best passer of the ball in the team. Unlucky for Moura. The rest of the team though? No words...

Where words are concerned - you nailed it here. There hasn't been one game where I have felt confident, I am hoping the players coming back can carry us, but not much hope right now.

Vorm 0 - awful awful awful even the saves he did make he almost fucked.

So easy to pin him to his goal line at corners to cause panic also.

Trippier 2 - most overrated footballer I have ever seen a luxury player that is only of any use in a back 5 where we can cover his complete lack of positional sense or ability. For people to even have the cheek to say he’s up there with walker it’s embarssing. Awful rather see KWP start ahead of him in a 4 at the back system

Toby 8 - very good defended well despite the shower of shit in front of him

Jan 7 - always looks shaken when he has Danny rose next to him maybe he gets exposed more. But like Toby done well to keep it respectable

Rose 4 - just not sure on his head at the moment if it’s with us or not feels like he’s holding back something

Dier 0 - looked like he had done 15 hours in a washing machine then played dizzy dinosaurs before coming out to play didn’t have a clue where he was meant to be nor what he was meant to do. Has not got the balls to passforward nor play at a tempo greater than a dead snail.

Winks 5 - okay in bits poor in bits was blowing visibly from 35 minute mark also pulled out of a few tackles we looked a better team when he went off

Eriksen 4 - pranced about skipping around the pitch without really ever achieving anything other than not getting involved

Lucas 9 - not seen a player as good as him or exciting as him since ginola. Excellent bloke is a real talent

Kane 1 - he was there but he’s to tired to do anything other than be there needs to take a long hard look at himself and hold his hands up and say gaffer I’m not right.

Lamela 9 - again comes on and actually tries never say die attitude gets his reward deserves to start from now on.

Son - tried hard also should have had a pen maybe

Not sure why all the Vorm hate - first goal, Liverpool crowded the box, and made it difficult for Vorm to get to the ball - and he made a poor clearance as a result. There was not a whole lot more he could have done in that situation. Hell we were lucky Vertonghen was not called for a pen by being draped all over VVD..

Vorm also had a few key saves today - so, even if you find him at fault for both goals, he did well enough to keep us in the match, while Dier was busy trying to give it away.

As you can see I'm quite pissed off...

Considering they're meant to be two of the best CBs in Europe Toby and Jan were shit today too. Although he's not, Van Dijk looked head and shoulders better than both of them today.
Winks was shit but not his fault as he's clearly not yet match fit and not sure he should've been thrown in against such a fast pressing side.
