Having said that, Lloris is the clear MOM for me.

Nobody seems to notice how often he saves us, and it's great that he'll finally get some recognition. Some of his saves in the 1st half were World Class.

Mason had 58% pass accuracy.

Because he was trying to make stuff happen. He could get 90%+ by playing sideways and square but almost every ball he played forward, with no time on the ball. The stats can be misleading, how anyone could watch that second half and not be impressed with Mason is beyond me

Lloris - 9 - magnificent quick keeper

Fazio - 8 - headed everything away and did really well...as long the ball isnt on his foot.
Vertonghen - 7 - solid game with two dodgy clearances but hard job tbf.
Davies - 7 - so much better than Rose. Lost the ball in a dangerous area once though, shouldn't happen.
Chiriches - 6.5 - mixed. I think he did okay defensively, but he misplaced about 50% of his passes and therefore was a risk in possession at times. BUT better than Walker recentley, credit to him.

Mason - 6 - his energy was pretty good and he could have won the match at the end but esp in first half he had not the quality needed and gave it away too often. I like him though but I think we are desperate to get a Cabaye/ Schneiderlin type.
Stambouli - 6 - okay job, dont think he is a starter though. We were beaten in the midfield at the beginning.

Chadli - 6 - hard for him to produce something. Not really bad but wasnt his best game.
Eriksen - 7 - on the ball a fantastic player but in the middle outnumbered too often so could be more productive elsewhere this game.
Townsend - 7 - He did well for what I expected. But his first touch was sometimes really really bad but he did a full hearted job. His challenge for the yellow was his usual brainfart.

Kane - 8 - tremendous work up front. His ball for Mason was excellent, could have won a pen, BT sports made a good comparision to Müller. Not the best on the ball , speedy or something. But he is a threat and effective.

Dembele - 7 - should have come on earlier. He has the strength we lack in big matches.
Lamela - 6 - nothing to say really.

Do you find that a lot of stuff is beyond you? He played 3 out of 7 passes in the final third and missed our best chance horrendously.

Mason was relatively sloppy I though, few misplaced passes, surrendering possession. Thought he was OK, but nowhere near as good as some people making out to be. Defence and GK were best performers.

Chiriches more than Naughton, can provide Walker a run for his money.

Walker has his speed and that's it. We should really not sell him to Roma.

The useless players have all not been able to make the squad; Ade, Kaboul, Capoue.

I'm surprised people think Mason played well. He had a 58% pass completion percentage and was not dictating tempo at all. For a player who everyone is saying should be first choice based on his fast, accurate transitional passing, that number is obviously not a good one.

It wasn't until Eriksen dropped deeper in the second half that we started to play well, but we just didn't have the creativity to break them down.

I thought our back 5 were excellent on the whole. Fazio is the best aeriel duel CB in all of Europe. Just totally dominant. That's been a big problem for us in the past, especially on set pieces, so he's a fixture with Vertonghen for good obviously.

Mason worked hard but his lack of quality showed big time today.

Kane's composure to play him through, on the other hand...outstanding.

Reading some of the comments in the match thread today (every game actually) was embarrassing.

Fazio was labeled as being rubbish.

Poch was labeled as not knowing anything about football or how to manage subs.

I thought poch had a fame plan....hold them until the last 15 then hit them with everything we've got with our superior match fitness and attaching subs!!

Nearly paid off!

Poch 10/10

Went to the game and don't understand people's ratings...

Chiriches was awful in possession.

Stambouli rubbish first half, very good second.

Kane run his heart out and better link up play.

Townsend aside from that one good chance he set up, was very poor.

Chadli MOTM first half but faded second.

Fazio MOTM for me, commanding performance

Lloris 8 saved us a few times

Vlad 6 solid defensively mostly.. but slow on the ball
Fazio 7.5 won everything in the air
Vertonghen 6.5 good but his clearances could be a little dodgy
Davies 7 had a poor first few minutes but grew into it, and by the end was a great driving force

Stambouli 6.5 was actually decent I thought
Mason 7 Drove up and down well. Should of scored

Townsend 6.5 Wasteful but dangerous
Chadli 6 largely anonymous, but was one of our better players early on
Eriksen 7 - not his finest but his delivery and movement was excellent

Kane 7 - worked hard, great ball after being 1 vs 4. He should of won us a pen as well. You can tell teams are beging to fear him.

Dembele 6.5 - held the ball well
Lamela 6 - didn't get enough of the ball.

lloris was good. defence was good. midfield was non existent. kane did his best with little service but managed to provide the odd moment of quality. people will pat themselves on the back that we got a point against big bad scary utd but i thought that was a really limp performance. still, a point is better than nothing.

So our game plan was cross our fingers and hope that United spurn all their chances? Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to label other posts as embarrassing...
