Kane didn't look anything like a captain. Dembele just awful. Davies off form. Dele got his 15 seconds of magic.

We aren't good enough for these games, clearly.

until just before his complete cock up Dembele owned the midfield

if these players want trophies, they need to earn them. Until the equaliser I felt really confident, but once that went in due to another error which both Tripper and Dembele were at fault for, then that confidence went.

Vorm apart from picking the ball out the net very little to do

Trippier why pass to a marked player so close to the 6yrd area

Sanchez bullied off the ball too easy for the winning goal, but with Lukaku's weight and the arm in his mid-rift in the air.

Verts another solid performance

Davies can't remember the last time he put a cross in that might concern the opposition

Dier not a bad game, and made a lot of challenges

Dembele WTF, he was looking like he owned the midfield till that brain fart

Alli apart from his goal, he never did enough, and once he got booked for a silly foul, he loses his edge

Eriksen was my MotM he was behind everything positive we did, shame he never hit the target to make it 2-0

Son once Valencia was booked he stopped going at him, looks like his season is petering out

Kane really thought he looked sharper in the 1st 30 mins, even if he never caused any trouble, but hardly in the game apart from defending set pieces

Poch I'm sure a few will blame him for something, but what cost us was Dembele. he tried to get us back in the game, though Lamela sub before the Wanyama might of been a bit better

The FA why are they giving the ref for this match to someone from Altringham? he was giving them some really soft free kicks, and turning away some more brutal ones against us. How Herrera wasn't booked in the 1st half I don't know, how Valencia stays on the pitch I really haven't a F'ing clue

Dier, Eriksen, Dele and Vertonghen are the ones who emerge with a semblence of credit.

Dembele ... I've never seen him worse than in the first half and I've never been as angry at a footballer as I was with him as the equaliser went in. As I said in the match thread, a truly unforgivable error, you can't even fathom what he's thinking there. Much worse than Son gifting Chelsea a penalty last season.

Vorm should do better for the winner, if he's in the right position he saves that with his legs.

No proper chances created in the second half is extremely poor, regardless of United's defensive effort.

We deserved to lose.

Kane - 2 - should not have been in the team the last 3 games as clearly is not fit. Should have been subbed for Lamela at HT, and on this form will be a liability at the WC.

Poch - 6 - clearly no plan B and will be labelled as a bottler in big games if he keeps losing them.[/QUOTE]

I’m more concerned about whether Kane will be a liability for our next 4 matches. It’s a real dilemma. We were playing with good fluidity while he was out and he should have been kept on the bench in our last 4 games and brought on for 30-45 minutes until he proved he was 100% recovered . And he should have been dragged off in all those games because he has contributed zilch. No intensity at all. I just fear that he will carry on in the same mode.

On a wider scale we have problems for next season even if we keep all our key players. Our full backs need to be upgraded on both sides, Dembele needs replacing, Wanyama has gone backwards and Dier is a better defender than midfielder. We rely totally on Eriksen for creativity. And of course we still have no back up for Kane other than Son who generally has done well when called upon but we also need a young striker not a has been like Llorente.

We have a relatively straight forward run in so let’s hope we don’t screw it up.

Kane isn't the problem ladies and gents look at the amount of goals he's scored.

Our wingbacks are absolutely shit we know struggling to keep clean sheets secondly we need to address CM.

It's frustrating yes Levy has to back Pochettinho in the market now I feel it needs a bit of fresh air.

yes but them going down to 10 men with a bit of time left on the clock might of been what was needed.

think Tripps got away early in the 1st half, and yes going by his overall performance it was a shock he never gave a foul to what lead up to Valencia's cynical foul.

I just don't believe a ref from an area so close to 1 team should be ref in such a big game. his wrong calls in our favour were not a threat of a player seeing a red or being in a dangerous area. the ones he went for with Man U, could of seen a red, and free kicks in dangerous areas

Give the ball on the wing and let him run a bit. In the middle he gets stuck immediatly...

Young and Valencia are possibly the weakest link in their defence. They get exposed a few times. Smalling and Jones (and Matic) are much better. I feel optimistic for a few minutes when Lucas was on. But it turned out that he played in the middle with unknown reason

Kane 0. Fucking ghost.
Kane gets a 10 from me, because that's how many men it feels like we have on the field when he plays in his current condition. He is so clearly unfit and Poch really needs to stop being his mate and start being his manager and bench him so he can recover. By the end of the world cup he will be ruined.

I seriously do not know what davies does. As a full back, you are expected to defend well. He didnt track back well enough. In modern football, fullbacks are also expected to dribble past players when in attack. He doesnt have that asset. Ok so if you dont have speed, then a fullback should have a decent cross in him to compensate for the lack of speed. He delivered fcuk all crosses. If this is our best LB, were doomed

You're a kind man

I think all the beer and chicken wings I've consumed in the last few hours have put me in a somewhat forgiving mood. I'm sure tomorrow's hungover and hungry me will score them differently.

Eriksen by a country mile. Always getting on the ball but for some reason everytime be looked up he saw Blue and White cones. Barely any movement. That's Man City,Brighton and now Man U. All three were there for the taking and we just didn't show up. The lack of movement was like going back to the Ramos days.

If we had movement in the second half, Eriksen would have orchestrated the win.

Most frustrating part wass both goals we conceded were extremely soft, neither goal took any bit of extraordinary skill or moment of pure class. We were just extremely weak and soft on both ocassions. We made it so easy for united.

Eriksen and Vertonghen only lads who can hold their heads up high. Everybody else has to be extremely disapointed with themselves especially Poch and Kane.

When will we ever learn?

I hathe making grandiose statement after tight matches like this, but i’m going to anyway. That’s Dembele gone for me. We need an upgrade, or serious competition at least. Physically we need someone more consistent. I love the guy but his position is an obvious area for improvement.
