Rose best player by far - needed some better crosses, but the only one who ran the whole game. Mason was good in the first half, but dissapeared in the 2nd. Every one else was poor, especially Dier, Chadli, Lamela and Ericksen.

Edit - I agree, Poch was out of his depth........very very poor.

It's sad to see the state of affairs at our club. We so lack creativity, ingenuity, pace it's ridiculous. Our defending is just a joke at this point.

And why are 99% of our corners still being under-hit... It infuriates me to the point of madness.... every fucking game.

Thought Verts was ok. Rose was ok. gets caught out of position though.

First half I thought Lamela, Mason, Eriksen combined well. All quite poor in the second. All decent attacks started with Lamela or Mason, but didnt offer danger in and around the box.

Second half was awful all round. Nobody worse than the others really, unless youre looking with agenda.

Ade scored, thought he was really poor though. His movement is atrocious. Lamela, Mason and Eriksen had to stop with the ball just to take the time to see if he was going to bother making a decent run lol

Absolute horrendous performance, the second half was nothing short of pathetic. I am kind of just numb to Tottenham right now though, I have neither euphoric highs or significant lows, we have no winners or real characters in the team, just a bunch of weak individuals.

As for ratings:

Lloris 5 - Think he could have come out quicker for the first goal.
Dier 2 - Got skinned by Ame(f*cking)obi.....enough said.
Kaboul 2 - What was he doing for the second goal...?
Vertonghen 1 - There is one forward, he is 5ft8, MARK HIM!!!
Rose 8 - Worked so hard and didnt deserve to be on the losing side, by far our best player.
Capoue 2 - Nothing, just nothing all game, didnt mark anyone, didnt really pass.
Mason 3 - Alright first hald and set up the goal, second half he got owned by Newcastle midfield.
Lamela 1 - Worst player on the pitch with Chadli, what did he do in this game apart from cause Dummett no problems.
Eriksen 6 - Rose and Eriksen are the only ones who look like they want to win.
Chadli 1 - Ridiculously poor game.
Adebayor 2 - Would have got a 1 if he hadnt scored, WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN CENTRE MIDFIELD YOU PLANK!!

Poch really has his work cut out for him, I want to give him time so that he can get his own players in. However, with ENIC in charge it isnt going to happen. I have never really said it before but it so easily time to go for them. We have made £50m on transfers in the last 5 years and Lolpool have spent almost £170m. Thats a huge £220m difference. I really do hate to say it but until we decide that spending money for the manager and not for bank books, then I can see us going the way of the Aston Villas of this world.

Those of you who have seen my posts know that Im not a knee jerker, however the performances this season have been awful, even on Thursday some random pub team from Greece should have scored 4 or 5 against us. If I were a betting man I would actually have us finish in 11th this year.

I thought Mason was very good first half but was doing two jobs in the second half when Capoue performance dipped and the front 4 performance dipped hugely

That front four together is getting worse imo, they are great in moments but their performance over 90mins doesnt anywhere near match the players ability

A little knee-jerk perhaps, but i said when avb was sacked that the next managerial appointment by levy had to be right or the sword should fall on him. I think that Tottenham cockrel is coming home to roost for Levy.

"The buck stops with you. The buck stops with yooouuu, Daniel levy, the buck stops with you."

Catchy?

Lloris - 6 - Didn't have too much to do, couldn't stop the goals. Distribution ok
Dier - 4 - Poor defenisively, got forward ok but left us horribly exposed at the back so Kaboul and Verts had to cover. Terribly slow for the goal too
Kaboul - 5 - Poor balls forward, switched off a few times. Not sure of him being captain still
Vertonghen - 5 - Offered little going forward, a few mis-placed passes, didn't seem that fired up
Rose - 8 - Got forward excellent, always wanted the ball, made the runs, a few good crosses, even got back to defend unlike Dier. He was one of the biggest scapegoats last season but you can tell he's giving it all every match

Lamela - 4 - Loads of skill, flashy stuff, dragging his foot over the ball, no end product, frustrating
Chadlii - 4 - Nothing really worked for him today, didn't get involved enough, didn't do much going forward
Eriksen - 6 - Tried to make things happen, always trying a through ball and getting our full backs involved, could have scored a couple but excellent Newcastle defending
Capoue - 5 - It does what it says on the tin, worked hard but offered nothing else going forwards
Mason - 6 - Tried hard, some nice runs and flicks, faded out the game after the hour

Adebayor - 5 - Half decent movement but terrible control, the ball always bounced off his chest, legs or body. Didn't put Collocini or Taylor under much pressure today

Lennon - 4 - Didn't look like he wanted the ball much, looked like he gained a few pounds, no real chance to make an impact either way
Solado - 6 - Some nice passes and movement, 8 minutes was a joke to get an equalizer
Kane - 6 - Full of effort, almost scored, lovely cross/shot into the six yard box but no one there to capitalize

Ponch - Danny Murphy was pretty scatching about Ponch in the match leaving it too late, showing faith in players who were doing sod all. He also left other comments I didn't agree with but agreed about leaving it too late.

My thoughts are Newcastle were abysmal first half, they were so terrible at closing us down, and troubling us. We should have gone for the jugular. I knew the second half Newcastle couldn't play any worse, they finally pressed us and caused us all sorts of trouble. Dier was horribly exposed and went missing non-stop which Kaboul and Vertonghen had to cover. Ponch should have put Lennon on sooner to help with defensive duties and take off an ineffective Lamela. The first half killed us by not putting Newcastle under any pressure whatsoever. Sissoko then started to boss the midfield and a lanky crappy striker gave us all sorts of problems. I think we can say Newcastle deserved the win today

It makes me cry to know that our biggest attacking threat was Rose. What is going on? :(

I know Dier will get so much stick but I can't see how anyone can blame him. This rotational movement among our front midfield three has been great. It is a superb tactic, one of which Madrid utilise in their own system. However Madrid has Marcelo and Carvajal as their fullbacks. We have an attack minded Danny Rose and a young centre back in Eric Dier. It was so obvious that Dier was crying out for help from Lamela who played in front of him, yet every time we had the ball we would go so central, leaving our fullbacks so exposed to any form of counter. Dier was left on his own while Lamela, Chadli and Eriksen kept losing the ball outside of the Newcastle box.

I can’t believe that this club, who have been practically built on quick wingers for the past how many years, with Bale and Lennon are struggling just to get someone to receive the ball out wide.

I have only supported Spurs for 6 years, so I don’t really know much about the Bill Nick way, or how he played, but I thought it was rather fitting that today was his day, as today was the most compelling display of what the modern Spurs are; the most inconsistent defensively insufficient gang of talented yet poorly organised players.

Adebayor scored, but apart from that he was nullified each time in my opinion. We played well in the first half, but I can’t remember us testing Krul that much. Poch needed to choose a striker and stick with them, and unfortunately he has appeared to choose the wrong man.

We’re so easy to beat at the moment, and if we don’t get three points at Villa I think things will get really bad for both the manager and Levy.

Looks like a few A+ with distinctions awarded to Ade for the header, that was handed to him on a silver platter. Standards people, standards! C'mon.

Not like that the first time it's happened to a Spurs manager. Also happened 3 times against Fat Sam last year too. Not sure why, but I feel like we deserve better........

Rose was good,Eriksen was okay in patches as was Mason. As for the rest so so poor!

I have no enthusiasm for this spurs team at the moment, our crowds will start to lessen and if Levy thinks anyone will come to MK to watch the pile of shite he needs his head examining.
