Sissoko played very well I thought, but Lamela just edges the MOTM. Great performance from him :)

I don't get that he played very well really don't , just my opinion but some of the Newport players had better control then sissoko

Surprised there isn't more love for Wanyama. Thought he was excellent, in the first half especially.

Pleased for Lamela, goal, effort and creativity.MOM
Another 15 minutes and Eriksen would have got it.
Sissoko and Llorente
wouldn't make a half decent player between them.

A good team selection and run out for those returning from injuries but would have been good to see some youth players coming on as subs instead of risking Dele Eriksen and Co.

I think those that are focusing on Sissoko being our worse player should pay more attention to Lloriente

The game was about a team with two Argentines, managed by an Argentine where one was MOTM and the other the closest contender.

Coco who at times reminded me of CR7 was my MOTM

I have a pet hate of people calling Ronaldo CR7...

Everything Foyth did seemed effortless. He was like a young Vertonghen.

Lamela was probably the best player out there and will no doubt win this poll by a landslide, so I'm giving it to Aurier who is looking better and better.

Special mention to Wanyama who is now moving around well, and in contention for a starting place on Sunday, Rose who is not 100% but good to have him back and Winks of course, who looked OK apart from his inability to pass forward.
Whats with this "the majority is picking this guy so im picking another guy" thing?

Perfect game for us to get a number of players the chance to play 90 minutes and improve their match fitness. Maybe we planned it this way so Toby, Winks, Rose, Wanyama and Lamela could get competitive game time. So the winner is the team Anyway mo vote goes to Lamela but some decent performances. Can't believe the misses from Lllorente; i really don't know what to say about him

I think the difference for me is that Llorente hardly plays so I don't blame him for not being match sharp. Sissokko on the other hand plays every game so has no excuse for his poor touch and misplaced passes.

Lamela was a joy to watch and have back, god we have missed him. Foyth wow what a future this lad has.

Vorm - 7 not much to do, put Foyth in a tricky spot early on but other than that was dependable, made a nice save at the end.

Aurier -7 Did his job, got nicely up and down the pitch, no complaints really.

Foyth - 8 Bit nervy early on but really grew into the game, lots of potential in this lad, reminds me a lot of Vert when we first signed him only a little less polished, 8 because of his age and composure.

Alderweireld - 8 same old Toby, world class defender.

Rose - 7 looked lively, had a good game, can tell he is chomping at the bit to get involved again, bit of a let down in the final third but lacking game time and match fitness so that is probably why.

Wanyama - 6 Average game for him, still needs more game time I think.

Winks - 5 Again, lacking in game time, thought he did a few things great but was mostly average I thought, seen him play much better.

Sissoko - 3 Sissoko is the worst footballer I have seen in a Spurs shirt since Rebrov.

As a matter of fact, he makes Rebrov look good, have no idea what he does for us even after all this time.

The only thing I can say as a positive from this game is his shot/cross that was going completely wide managed to deflect into the back of their net, hence the 3 rating.

Lamela -9 MOTM pressing, creative, leading the line, pulled the others up, was a great game and good to see him back, won’t be long before he is starting games in the PL at this rate.

Son - 8 lovely, good link up play, played well I thought, needs to get his head up more in the final third I think.

Llorente - 4 Another striker I had high hopes for and just looks shot of confidence completely, Harry is a complete fluke for us because we can’t ever seem to get decent strikers these days.

Eriksen - 8 class as always.

Dele - 6 good overall play but he needs to find his shooting boots again, not clinical enough in the final third, maybe stay and practice with Harry for a while in training? I feel like if he worked a little harder off the pitch he would probably go up another level, think he is just having an off season so far because of how great he has been the last few seasons.

Walker Peters - 6 not bad, not great, can’t expect to much from him considering the lack of game time he has had.

What he probably doesn't realise is that giving Sissoko that mark questions the credibility of his other ratings. No way does Sissoko deserve a lower rating than Lloriante and a few others.

He is always that bad, I genuinely don’t understand why people think differently, his performances are pretty much identical for every game, he had an uptick in form for a few weeks and played well in the Madrid game but other than that every single performance of his has been a 3 or lower, more often than not, lower.

I have no idea why people get so bloody defensive about the whole thing, I don’t dislike the bloke he just isn’t a very good footballer and yes, he was the worst player on the pitch tonight as far as I am concerned, his constant miscontrol of the ball and running down blind alleys is infuriating, Llorente was cutting a very very close second though.

Not Sissoko bashing but who else played worse than Sissoko tonight apart from Llorente? I thought Winks and Wanyama were average at best but both were better.

I know Sissoko ‘haters’ often get accused of scapegoating but sometimes I think the opposite is happening with the ‘lovers’. They want him to do well so badly that they’re seeing things that aren’t there. Purely based on tonight’s game, he misplaced lots of easy passes and miscontrolled the ball several times. Almost all of his crosses from wide were low and didn’t beat the first man. The cross for the goal was decent and looked like it was going to Lamela if the defender hadn’t put it in but there weren’t many other positives tonight.

Llorente was poor tonight. I feel sorry for him because he’s shown over the years how good a footballer he is but when you’re back-up to Kane and never get minutes, plus the fact we never play to his strengths when he does play, it’s sad to see how poor he is with us now.

Everyone else bar Winks and Wanyama, who I thought were average at best, played well. Lamela my motm. Aurier & Son very good, subs played well too. Foyth looked good too bar that one shit pass first half. Good to have Toby and Rose back.
