As individuals it was a strong side but how many minutes did those individuals have playing together? Especially during this season. Then factor that Lamela, Wanyama, Alderweireld, Winks and Rose are all coming back from long term injuries in vetting degrees, Llorente has had very few minutes, Foyth even fewer and is new to the country and it all becomes disjointed. I actually found the football relatively watchable in the most part, the pressing pretty decent and the motivation levels vastly improved from the initial fixture.I thought that was a pretty strong side to be honest. I was disappointed we didn't press them better, and force the kind of errors that we could capitalise on and expose them more first half. And the players out there were all of suitable quality to make better use of the sistuations and chances they did create second half.
I'm not apoplectic with rage, but I wasn't overly impressed with much of it either.
