Poor performance (again)

Even with Poch's questionable selection we should have won this comfortably

No one played particularly well, but lots on here will be unfairly blaming Sissoko for this dire result

All I know is if we don't sign a central midfield player we are in enormous trouble.

Sissoko looked out of his depth technically, him and trippier was a laughably weak right hand side.

I personally felt KWP struggled, add harry to the list, at least he scored

Sissoko was one of the better players today. Llorente was awful, zero movement.

Ratings;

Good; Kane, Sissoko, Vorm, Foyth, Verts, Son and Alli

Average; Trippier, KWP, Dembele, Wanyama, Davies

Poor; Llorente, Dier

KWP was very poor, when he was subbed we improved. Foyth was just OK.

Son + Sissoko were very good. It’s not easy on pitches like that.

Our worst player today was Wanyama, who probably had the worst game I've ever seen him have in our colours. A real 1/10 performance from Vic today.

Foyth was the only bit of class on that pitch.

So instead of changing his tactics to match Liverpool at Anfield for the last 3 seasons he changes them against Newport away. As United proved last night playing Sanchez and Mata...you need creativity on any pitch and that first 11 was a shambles.

Wanyama looked poor but still coming back and Sissoko... Was well Sissoko, Strong running but average in possession.

You just described Sissoko's performance too. I know KWP is young and played out of position but tonight, he was poor imo.

Thought Dembele did ok the rest of the outfield players were way off the mark. Wanyama clearly needs more time, and I can see why he is not yet back as a regular starter.

Motm was Vorm for me purely because he was the only one who did nothing wrong for 90 minutes.

I think Pochs team selection was based purely on how physical this was going to be, but it cost us massively in terms of quality.

Has to be Sissoko

We get told every week how hard he works and he seemingly gets judged differently to the 10 actual football players.

So 10/10 for me, he ran around and kicked the ball.

Foyth - Motm today. Impressive display. He is really, really calm. I think his aerial ability is a bit of worry, but he is really a talented player

Dier - He is even worse than doherty as a CB

Trippier - Sell him. Seriously.

KWP - Sell Trippier and put him as the no.2 RB. Ok performance but definitely not a LB. But we need to rotate Davies, so....

Wanyama - I am looking forward to see most of us unreasonably rate wanyama higher than sissoko today. He is poor, and I think this is the reason why he was on the bench in previous matches. He is not ready yet

Sissoko - The most consistent player. Every match he is average. When we play brilliantly, he is average. When we play poorly, he is average. Of course, today he is average, but lots of his teammates play even worse than him today

Kane - Pep is right.

Poch - It is lucky for you not to lose with a Sissoko-Wanyama-Dembele-Dier Midfield. His sub was surprisingly ok though. The davies sub is much better than I thought. But, if eriksen is not ready yet, why put him on the bench?
