Great team performance, I think we saw a lot of the work that's been put in on the training ground today

We were great on the counter, fast and slick and more importantly we frequently ended a move with some end product instead of looking for sideways and backwards passes while giving the opponents time to get men behind the ball and eventually take a long shot

We got numbers in the box, we supported each other, husstled off the ball to win possession and our front 3 interchanged well to keep us fluid and creative through out the game

QPR afforded us the space we were denied against West Ham and that enabled us to implement Poch's ideas and showcase what we're trying to achieve under him.

I think once we're more of a unit and been playing with one another and under the manager for an extended period of time we'll have the type of understandings between players that enables this type of performance on a more regular basis and it was great to see today although as fans we have to be realistic in our expectations and understand that it will take some time before we can put it all together and be more than a work in progress (there will be inconsistent performances a lot this season while everyone adapts and we continue to build)

5 goals scored and none conceded - Liverpool up next which will be a major test but a positive result from that game will represent an amazing start to this new era and I for one am very excited about what's to come from what I've seen so far even though I realise we're got a long way to go and I don't expect us to play like that every week while we're in transition

Says a lot when Lloris who kept another clean sheet is yet to register a solitary MOM vote!

I barely remember him making a save

He did a few bits of tidy sweeper keeping work and made a couple of routine saves like when Caulker had a deflected shot on goal but he wasn't really tested and the bulk of their actual chances were off target

You're right it just shows how far in control we were - to be honest it wouldn't be outrageous for us to be disappointed at only winning 4-0 because we were so far ahead of them it could have been a cricket score

That said they did have a few clear cut chances and should have scored once or twice so I am very happy with the clean sheet and a goal difference that puts us ahead of Chelsea

Sorry have I just come into the wrong site? Been away all day and thought I would log on to get a feel for the game before MOTD. Not sure I have ever seen all our players commended for their performances. Wish I had been able to go today but itching to catch the highlights

Without exaggerating, everyone played well. That's the first time in quite a while that every player had a good game imo.

I was between Lamela and Chadli for motm, both fantastic but went with Lamela.

Dier was good, but he also played a horrendous pass that could've been costly, and lost Caulker on the corners on two occasions which one should have led to a goal, and the other could have. Some sloppy marking in injury time when 4-0 up is hardly a big deal, but none the less - against better teams we could've been punished for some daft play.

Just to make sure, I was not having a dig at the poll and voters, I was actually, all be it indirectly, complimenting the team and their performance

Tough choice between Chadli, Lamela and Eriksen but I went with Chadli because of the goals. Superb team effort all round though

If Man U, Sunderland is the first game on MOTD I am going to write a very strongly worded letter, 50 or not

Picked Chadli because scoring goals is the be all and end all

However Capoue and Lemela were outstanding in their respective roles

I thought Adebayor was brilliant and worked his socks off and really worked for the team

All in all a joy to be at the Lane and a stark comparison to opening game last season. Well done Poch.

Like watching a different side today, we moved from back to front quicker than we have done for at least the last two years and more, pressing, harrying and chasing them down without the ball, sharp passing and constant movement ahead of the ball when in possession, for the first time in years our player with the ball had options behind, to the side and ahead of him.
Buts.. and there were some, I think we still made some loose passes and gave the ball away a few times which, against better sides, would have cost us, Bentaleb probably the chief culprit but I am just being picky because I firmly believe that is one of the things that will improve as the season progresses and we become more accustomed to the way of playing and to each other.
I got the distinct impression that the players were having fun today and Lamela looked happier than I've ever seen him, not everything came off for him but when it did some of it was sublime not least his run and chipped cross to Chadli for our third goal.
As it happens I reckon we could have doubled the half time score had we continued with the same intensity and intent in the second half but inevitably we held back from busting a gut and yet we still looked as comfortable as in the first half.
Altogether I'd say excellent would cover it.

I'll give my MotM to Levy - Bringing Pochettino in, per Trix really sitting down and working with him to develop transfer policy, taking the ice bucket challenge, etc. He has been slated at times for his role in the club's development, or lack thereof, but I have never seen him happier than he was after the ice bucket challenge. As chairmen go, I think he feels all the ups and downs that the fans do, and wants nothing more than to return Spurs to glory.

A long season ahead, with a few ups and downs still to come - but for two weeks in, Spurs deserve their spot at the top of the table, and Levy should get some of the credit for bringing back the optimism to the club.
