Sissoko for his miscued shot which put Kane in. It was actually a cunningly disguised pass, this is the kind of thing the SC footballing intelligentsia miss, time after time after time. Fucking genius of a player :D
I have no idea why he's getting so much stick off some, didn't people see that he assisted the assist which lead to the assist of the assist of our first goal?

I have to say at CB he’s improved hugely, past seasons he’s had an error or 2 in him or looked a bit slow etc but I’ve barely noticed him when he’s played there recently just like with Sanchez Toby and jan which is the sign of a top top defender. He’s been okay in midfield also.

What he seems to have found recently is his focus and aggression, much quicker to close people down and distributing the ball rather than dwelling. He's a real physical beast and our biggest leader out there (not including Kane leading by example). He really has improved as a CB and i think at CM he started the game really well and is way better than just okay in that position - when he is playing with said aggression and focus, definitely seems to be back to his best.

And our defensive unit and line was a thing of beauty to watch last night, that level of organisation and discipline at the top level seems to be so difficult for most teams, we are starting to mirror the defensive strength of Juventus (who for me are/were the best in the world when watching defensive strategy) which is a real testament to the players and coaching staff.

Seems churlish to pickiest one, but I went with Dele because of the goals. There were some great performances out there.

A&C thinks Dier is one of the best players at the club and has said so on more than one occasion.

A&C also knows that this third person stuff gets on one or two people's tits, but I can't remember who exactly (plays the senile card)

Which is why A&C is doing it :p
Perhaps A&C is missing the summer transfer window itk thread?

Winks MOM for me. For a 21 year old with such limited experience to be bossing possibly the best midfield in world football is quite frankly astounding. Honourable mentions to Dele, Jan, Trippier and Sanchez who all had outstanding games

Impossible to pick a MOM after that. Some terrific stuff all round. The back line were all superb. Alli bagged 2 goals, Eriksen was silky, Harry ran himself ragged. I'm going to go for Harry Winks though. Looked totally at home and set our tempo with his crisp passing. Took control from Modric and Kroos no less and for a kid of his age and experience that is a quite incredible achievement.

Non spurs related, but how could Benzema still be the starting striker for such a big club like Real Madrid? He is even worse than mid-table teams' striker such as Chicharito

(Kiko casilla is also a nightmare, but he is a second-choice goalkeeper)
There’s such a thing as going too far to make a point. Worse than Chicharito? Have a word. Worse than the real top-level strikers like Kane, Lewandowski, Aubameyang, Cavani, Lukaku etc, absolutely.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is that we beat Madrid despite Kane not being fully fit. There were several times in the match where he could have sprinted for the ball, but he clearly didn't want to push himself in case his hamstring pinged again. A great performance from him despite that though.
