If ever a game was surreal, this was it. I just could not fathom what I was witnessing in the 1st half, and it had nothing to do with either set of players. VAR and the referees have coupled to put football match adjudicating to the highest level of incompetence where any match is concerned. I wonder if the ref has single handedly sent VAR and its administration back to the drawing board.

Can someone explain to me why Poch risked Dembele and Dele in those conditions after the game was won?

Comedy factor was when the ref tried to spray a line in the snow after we won a free kick :D

My assessment

Excellent None

Very Good Lamela Son

Good Moura Lloriente Trippier Dembele Dele KWP

Fair Dier Sissoko Foyth Rose

Poor Winks Vorm

Despite his hatrick I still gave Lloriente only a "good" because he was so woeful in the 1st half.

I had Walker-Peters down as "net" until his goal

Eric Lamela is my MOTM

Danny Rose.

Scored 6 goals, one ruled out by VAR and fucked up the penalty by stuttering...

I think Llorente deserves the MotM. Just my opinion but if a player scores a hat trick, there has to be a superb performance to snatch it away.

Lamela was magnificent imo. I love watching him play. If Llorente had scored 2, Lamela would be my MotM, followed closely by Moira :cautious:

In fact our front 4 were all great. The whole team dealt with all the VAR bullshit well. Only concern is Winks, but I think he just needs minutes. I'm sure he'll be fine.

What a bizarre game - i have no words.

Lucas for me - the impact & the difference he's making after 2-3 games in a Spurs shirt is very promising. He's gonna be a big asset for us going forward.

Him Son, Eriksen and Kane up front - could give any team in the world problems.

It was between Lamela and Moura; ended up giving it to Coco. Thought Sissoko played well today. Defense was decent despite the conditions. Foyth looks better and better each game.

How can Dele be both good and poor? He wasn't poor.

It’s a shame Lamela is so one footed it holds him back.
