We made hard work out of this, no wonder pundits and other fans like to take the piss out of us. We were our worse enemy with sloppy passing, bad positioning and lack of composure. We should not have had to resort to risking Lamela, Dele and Kane. I suppose that I too am guilty to think that advancing to the next round was a formality, but the thing is I wasnt playing so could afford to think that.

Glad to see both Danny and Victor getting their bite back though, but Toby and Winks are so off form resulting in both being culpable for their goals.

Lucas Moura my MOTM. Son can learn a thing or two from him about composure

Anyway, good cup tie and well done to Rochdale who were not phased. But being the good ambassadors for the sport, we have given them a chance to play at Wembley

Thought Rochdale played well and deserved a trip to Wembley in the end.

Lucas MOTM for us, shame he had to come off as he would have been useful in that last 20mins but it's completely understandable as he isn't fully match fit

Moura very good, clear MoM

Foyth and Trippier decent

Toby meh

Wanyama, Son and Winks all over the place

Rose, the good the bad and the ugly

Sissoko so so

Vorm pants

Llorente carrying on where he left off against Newport, nowhere to be seen, bloody useless.

Well it's between Rose, Llorente and Wanyama for the prestigious golden turd award.

Rose improved last 15 minutes.

Foyth did ok for me.

Winks really out of sorts
Llorente, no form whatsoever.
Poor display from Son
Toby thought he just needed to turn up, no effort there

Moura looks a class act

The rest, pretty average.

Quite a step down from our first choice 11 on that display.

Credit to Rochdale. I was in the replay game against Newport. Playing at the Wembley is so, so important to these small clubs. And they fight hard to earn this. Maybe it is a kind of remedy to their money paid to relaid the pitch. Very impressive.

Vorm - I think he should done a lot better in the first goal. I think Lloris would save that

Trippier - Not convinced with his defensive concentration

Foyth - The replay is for him to gain more experience, no?

Toby - He is nowhere near Sanchez and Jan's level currently. Needs to improve

Rose - Almost get the MOTM because of his ryan mason chant. This is lovely. But I think he should done better in the stoppage time goal conceded

Wanyama - To BC: It is absolutely suicide to put wanyama in stead of Dire when we play CL now. He is not there yet.

Sissoko - We know we are in trouble when sissoko looks good. It means other players are really poor

Winks - I fear that his injuries lowers his confidence

Lucas -MOTM. Looks sharply. And he is still not in the team yet. But I feel excited once the other players would pass more ball to him

Llorente - I am not going to talk about his goals-scoring ability. I am annoyed by his non-existing pressing. Looks lazy. Janssen also wasteful but at least he presses.

Son - Not sure why his form drops

Lamela - Really love his passion. Proper Eriksen backup. Should start the game, no eriksen or lamela causes us a lot of unnecessary trouble

Vorm 4- awful kicking, Lloris esque nerves
Trippier 4- Himself but without the good delivery
Toby 2- Dreadful game, really fucking poor
Foyth 6- Better of the pair but some lapses
Rose 5- Shit first half better second but needs to work on quality of delivery
Wanyama 5- Looks a bit off the pace but Poch's team selection didn't help
Winks 4- Same as Wanyama tbh
Sissoko 5- Good assist, apart from that, poor. Offered no help to the midfield
Son 2- Shite
Moura 8- Excellent
Llorente 5- Started OK but quickly went back to his usual shit self

Lucas Moura MotM. Exactly the type of player we have missed for a while.
Foyth looked class, again.
An assist for Sissoko but he'll still get shat on on this thread.

Still in the cup. I'm confident we will win the replay. More minutes for our fringe players and injury returnees.

Fans at the ground - Classy and didn't stop supporting.
SC match thread - Don't think I'll be putting myself through that again. Fuck me.

Vorm: 6 - Not much to do, and not at fault for the goal but still looks glued to his line as always. As a back up he is very decent and is better than Lloris with his feet. If only he managed his area better.

Trippier: 6 - Worked hard but could not impact the game offensively at all.

Alderweireld: 4 - Looked very poor throughout and well off the pace. No wonder Poch did not take him to Turin last week. Lot’s of work to do on the training ground.

Foyth: 7.5 - Looked the most accomplished of all our defenders by a country mile, and won vast majority of his duals.

Rose: 6 - Only decided to start actually trying the last 10 or 15 minutes. Strolled though the first 75 mins and did not affect the game until our super subs came on and he belatedly decided to roll up his sleeves.

Winks: 4 - Was very poor on and off the ball, and a catastrophic mistake for their first goal. Doesn’t look the same player since before his injury. No chance of a WC spot on this showing.

Wanyama: 4 - Such little application in the first half. Wish he was hauled off at HT as his performance deserved. Was a bit better second half but still came off second best against inferior opposition.

Sissoko: 6 - Just such a poor footballer. Can make Wembley look ‘bobbly’. Affected the game more than Winks or Wanyama though.

Moura: 7.5 - Looked up for it, showed his quality and pace, and scored a good goal. Shame he came off and not Son.

Son: 5 - Just a really poor showing from a normally reliable player. His touch was so poor today. Should have been hooked instead of Moura.

Llorente: 4 - Offers nothing but a ‘back to goal 1-2 wall pass’. Cannot hold the ball up, cannot run the channels, cannot attack crosses, cannot shoot, cannot press.

Subs:

Lamela: 7 - Came on and showed more application than the starters. Should have started instead of Sissoko to provide much needed creativity in midfield.

Dele: 7 - Showed the others how to apply themselves and control a football. Should have been brought on at HT.

Kane: 7 - Scored what should have been the winner. At least he now gets another game at Wembley to try and beat Clive’s record.

Poch : 4 - Picked the wrong team yet again in a cup tie and then refused to make changes until almost too late. I really hope behind closed doors he gives the team a rocket!

Dude, you can't mark Sissokko out of 20 and the rest of the players out of 10.

I always give him an 8 when he puts in the same performance he always does but keeps getting picked in the same Sissoko role. It's my admittance that I clearly don't know anything about football.

Vorm couldn’t have saved either goal.

Trippier was okay going forward, beaten defensively a few times.

Alderweireld channeled his inner Steve Caulker.

Foyth has a couple of nervy moments but was generally acceptable.

Rose was the pre-Pochettino incarnation, plenty of endeavour going forward but no interest at all in defending, summed up by the square mile of space he allowed their 92nd minute equaliser.

Wanyama showed why he is nowhere near the first team currently. Oafish, lacked awareness and error prone.

Winks looked completely out of his depth... against the bottom side in league 1.

Sissoko was industrious, had the final pass in our one slick move and, while he still needs too many touches, at least treated the game as one he wanted to win.

Moura gave a lovely glimpse into what he’s capable of. Pace, imagination, composed and skill. Not that the bar is high, but he was man of the match.

Son gave a horrifying glimpse into what he’s capable of, clumsy, predictable, erratic.

Llorente continues to do his best impression of the titanic, complete with sinking feeling.

Lamela, Dele and Kane all improved us. Sadly certain players couldn’t perform the simplest of tasks so their efforts were wasted.

The massively disappointing this for me isn’t the result, it happens. It’s not that we were disjointed, I’d expect that with so many changes. It’s he fact that players who are meant to be of a very high calibrate and are supposedly genuine first team contenders did absolutely nothing to threaten the recent regular starters, the showed up seemingly thinking they had a divine right to win and they made our selection for the next fixture very easy for Pochettino. Rose, Alderweireld, Wanyama, Winks, Son, these players should all be ashamed of this performance and I’m not even sure I would have them on the bench next time out.
