Reading this thread is a good indicator of how much of a good overall performance it was, never seen so many different choices for MOTM. Thought we were excellent, pressed hard form start to finish, more like it, the pressing makes such a difference.

Loads of love for Rose and agree he's much improved. But has he ever put in a cross like that Chelsea reject did that led to manes gilt edged chance? Did great for Ades goal v rangers, but our full backs need to contribute more than simply defend. Interesting to see if pellegrini picks navas or Milner against him. As long as it's not jan v navas again...

Time for Heroes said:
The funny thing with Lamela is, the enthusiasm you lot have here for him is not matched in the stadium in my opinion.

You can hear the growing frustration from the crowd each time he loses the ball.
I think that everybody in the stadium wants him to succeed and are just disappointed when things dont come off for him or the team I have not heard negativity per se
I think some people have an A-G-E-N-D-A rather than an O-P-I-N-I-O-N or maybe they are just miserable ***** :D

Good on you Erik, I liked your performance lad! (y)

What is your fucking problem? I enjoyed the fact we switched our tactics for a game that was at least exciting, yesterday was average and dull, our sloppiness in the final third was diabolical. Our set pieces were useless. There was far more wrong with yesterday than what we tried to do at the Emirates. In my eyes. Pleased with the result mind.

Not pleased with the fact they created far the better chances to actually score a goal.

Ade did not have a good game. Much nearer the bottom end of the Ade spectrum than the top. In my opinion by far the worst of our outfield players today, in which I include Harry Kanes 3 min sub appearance.

I wonder how many of you that disagree we're not actually at the game? Match of the day is not an accurate view of the game. For those who creamed over the highlights let me explain to you that we were frickin lucky to win this game. Southampton generally out passed us, out pressed us and on the whole we're the better team, had more possession and had better transitions of play. Ade barely had a touch of the ball as it just kept bouncing off him. The 2 moments on motd is literally all he did.

For utter bollocks, that is up there with some of your finest work.

Agree with everything else apart from the bit in bold, simply not true. His performance was a lot better than Soldado's against Besiktas and I'm glad people saw it as that. And I was at the game too.

Haha, take a bow Jezz. The old tit for tat spamming. Are you going to show your maturity by spamming this one as well? Can you resist?

Or would you like to show me the light on roses crossing ability?

A stock BC response to when you don't have a statistical answer to back up your point. Laughable if you think we created better chances than the away team yesterday.
Did we not?

I thought we looked sharper (though not sharp) than we did against Arsenal yesterday.

I still think our best performance was against Sunderland.

All matters of opinion, I respect yours...but I thought he was pretty awful. I know and we have all seen what Ade can do, I'm not a hater, I would love to see a Ade that was consistent. I just think it was not one of his better days. He is almost unplayable on his better days.

Hitting the woodwork twice, Chadli through on goal twice (one of which was the best chance of the game), Vertonghen having a header cleared off the line?

The only chance they created was the Mane one from the Bertrand cross. The Mane chance which Lloris palmed wide was from a sliced Kaboul clearance, they didn't create it.

We were the better team, we should have won the game.

That doesn't take away from the Arsenal game, I was happy with that too. But from a cohesion point of view, Lamela found pockets of space to play dangerous balls into constantly this game, Chadli constantly made good runs and twice should've reaped the rewards, Eriksen was as involved as he's been and found himself in positions to hurt Southampton regularly and Adebayor moved and worked in a way that allowed us to threaten via various channels. Yes, Southampton had good spells but they're a good on form side. We play like that every game and we'll win most games and probably batter lesser teams.

Excuse me, pressing spam then vanishing with an explanation?
I think that's exactly what you did.
Then have the cheek to call me out because you don't like it.
Double standards sunshine.
