Choose Adele because he set the pace and tone of the game especially in the first half when we were given a fight. Second half Son made the telling contributions, then with the game won Llorente and Skipp showed what they can do. Very good, very professional performance tonight with the huge plus of seeing so many youngsters on the pitch

Llorente - HT v Rochdale and Tranmere. Lukaku will probably do the same v Reading - another little club - the only time they score !! Just saying.

She was great to night. Really got the lads fired up from the start which saw us win 7-0.

Watching Skipp, I think he is brilliant (esp with the assist). The thing he currently lacks is the strength. Sometimes he was physically bullied by the opponents (and of course, this is what the lower league players good at). But I am thinking of Winks and Son. Their debut season were also lacking of a bit of strength. Now we can see they are not afraid of any physical combat. I am really looking forward to Skipp with improved strength two years later.

Excellent post that. I'm in total agreement.

Loved this moment. The bench reacting to Aurier's wayward shot late on. Jesus Perez can hardly conceal his giggle. Nice to see Sissoko enjoying the moment too.

We might have been wearing them down in the first half, but I found it pretty turgid and uninspiring. The ball was moved too slowly and we had the handbrake on. The second half things came together - The game loosened up a bit, we stepped it up, Tranmere probably started to tire and dropped off, and we took full and ruthless advantage of it and in the end did a very professional job and racked up an emphatic win.

Gazzaniga - Not a huge amount to do, but solid enough when he was needed.

Foyth - Was caught out positionally a few times, but I thought on the whole he had a pretty good game. Brought the ball out of defence and used it well. Shout out for that recovery header when he'd slipped and was flat on the turf.

Sanchez - Ok. Sometimes could have used the ball a bit better I thought.

Davies - Same, and I'd have liked to see him carry the ball forward more.

Aurier - Solid game. He did have a bit of luck with them, but two important goals came at a time where it swung the match in our favour.

Skipp - As with any 18 year old rookie, there were moments where he wasn't perfect, but a solid busy and industrious display that you have to be impressed with and he capped it with a decent assist.

Alli - I thought his first half was pretty pointless in all truth. Even slower than usual and often not releasing the ball when he should. Second half he found more freedom to do his thing and he got involved in a couple of the goals, still had numerous times where I was wishing he'd just move the ball quicker instead of the 5 extra touches. One day he'll learn......

KWP - Solid enough going both ways, and grew into the game a bit as an attacking threat.

Son - Thought he had a dismal first half. Came alive as it opened up in the second and had two nice assists plus the solo goal.

Moura - Was involved for a goal, kept trying, but a poor night for him overall.

Llorente - Felt he did a very competent job throughout and had some nice touches linking play. Played a lovely pass for instance in the build up to Aurier's second goal. Hat-trick was a bonus and he took his goals well. You can see the guy had class, a shame we got him a bit too late in his career.

Subs:
Marsh - Felt he did a very solid job and acquitted himself well.

Kane - Good finish. Not sure his cameo was wise, but no harm done in the end.

Eyoma - Didn't have a lot to do.
