A good game where I thought we would have to be at our fighting best to get a result, which we did, fight that is. Good job to all.

MOTM contenders Lamela, Moura, Toby, Winks, Sissoko but our fearless leader Hugo Lloris who led from the back gets the honours in my opinion

Coco for me. Mostly good performances - liked what I saw from Winks in particular, Lloris obviously with a couple of key saves. A few anonymous performances, and I only really did not like Davies on the day.

Good tough win. Low on class but high on industry.

Lamela, Sissoko, Winks and Hugo were all good. MOM to Sissoko for a good all around display and the one genuine bit of quality with the assist.

I dont think its fair to single anyone out as the MOTM but Sissoko did well today as did Lucas, Lamela and Hugo

Trippier - ill be honest I just dont like him, you can tell a lot of teams target him simply because he is slow and actually shit defensively even attacking wise his one trick can easily be prevented given it is so predictable.

Overall i dont think we were bad but we werent fluid.

WE MUST put away our chances

Winksy for me, so nice to see a midfielder wanting to go forward. Lamela immense first half, Lloris best game in a long time

A decent away win. Despite their pressure last 20 mins, they never really looked like scoring. These mini-breaks for Dele and Eriksen could be a blessing in disguise, maybe we should hope Kane gets a mild strain for 3 weeks out of the firing line (shame he played so many minutes for England).

Lloris 8 - Two fantastic saves that won us 3 points.
Trippier 7 - Thought he played well until twice getting suckered by Antonio last 10 minutes.
Sanchez 8 - Looked incredibly solid.
Toby 7.5 - Ditto.
Davies 6.5 - Looked ponderous on the ball and was a bit of a liability in possession.
Dier 7 - Solid game
Winks 7.5 - Getting back to his best, love his little spins then accelerations. He should look to run though gaps more often IMO.
Sissoko 7.5 - Very good game. Had to pinch myself for his assist as it was so measured and technically good.
Moura 7.5 - Would get kicked less if his second touch was better. Worked his socks off.
Lamela 8 - Should currently be the first name on the team sheet. Scores almost every game. Leads the press. Puts his foot in. And is technically fantastic.
Kane 6.5 - Still looks off the pace. Led the line well and had one good chance first half that he'd normally score. Just not mobile enough and looks heavy legged.

Dembele - 7 - Thought we'd control the ball better when he came on but he never really took control.
Eriksen - N/A - Too late to mark
Llorente - N/A - Ditto

Interesting result and MOTM when you cast your mind back to what some posters were saying in the Lloris thread.

This one goes to Sissoko for me, and it's not a joke! well deserved.

Yeesh the bar is low. Nice cross for the goal and definitely one of his better performances but gave the ball away in key areas a couple times that really could have cost us. The big Hugo save after half time was a chance gifted to them by Sissoko being sloppy.

Birdie - Lamela eeks out MOTM ahead of Lloris, Sissoko and Winks
Par - Sanchez, Toby, Dier, Lucas
Bogey - Kane, Trippier, Davies, the timing of Poch's subs.

I have no problem with Lamela being managed carefully after so many breakdowns but I said in the match thread that I thought Dembele on and overloading the midfield to grind a result was the wrong call, Eriksen (or Son, but preferably a man who can pick a pass) should've come on instead. And after that sub we lost control, which I thought we had pre-sub, and Hugo's beautiful face saves us from dropping points in embarrassing fashion.

The full backs and Kane certainly didn't cover themselves in glory, but I will say that WHAM had Diop marking Kane almost every step of the way and Diop was excellent for them, didn't put a foot wrong.

Ending on a high, Sissoko was as good as he's ever been for us, even if you take the assist out of the equation (but why would you, it was a great bit of play), and Winks ran the midfield and was really good today before being pinned back by the aforementioned sub and tactical change.

I can't really understand west ham. Always motivated to play against us, but then play like an ametuar team against other teams.

So don't underestimate our team effort. All players did well. The only complaint is why trippier allowed antonio to get pass him so easily for twice or third times.

Loving moura dribbling runs, definitely adds a new dimension to us. Thought Winks was excellent just needs a bit more conviction round the box. Gets in great positions then checks back. Happy to excuse Kane today after he obviously ran his heart out on Monday.

Hugo MoM, good solid performances all round including Sissoko.

the problem was more the tactics or mentality or both, showing no ambition for 35 mins to score a second

they rallied well also so give them some credit for that, the ****s

I'm not a Sissoko fan but he did alright today.

I don't know whether it was a lack of urgency or West ham raising their game ten-fold but we just didn't seem to get a grip in the second half

Lamela was outstanding, as was Sissoko. But hugo won us the points. Winks is really getting back to his best which is great to see and Moura gives us something very different. He's just so quick and tricky.

Good performance, very professional against a decent west ham side who gave it everything.

I think that we are starting to turn the corner.

That being said, not looking forward to playing city!
