I agree with most of those except for Defoe. That rating's just BS

He deserves a Jeremy Kyle more than a Montel Williams.

Creative post (and I rated as such), but you SO had lined up those GIFs long before kick-off today and would've posted them whatever the result.

The rating that matters the most is a 2 for AVB. Never should have started Naughton, who has shown that he is just as error-prone as BAE, but then compounded the mistake by wasting a substitution on him. Bringing Benny on didn't do anything to change our anemic attack at a time when we needed two goals and it left us light in midfield when Parker was eventually taken off.

We would have been much better off bringing on Carroll for Parker and Lennon for Dempsey. This would have given us a stronger midfield base, full of creativity and quick thinking, from which to build the attack. It also would have allowed Holtby to push further forward, where he can hassle the opposing defense to win the ball back quickly and make incisive passes that actually put people in on goal - see Defoe last week against City.

All is not lost, but today's result makes it essential that we pick up three points against Chelsea. A big ask but I think we can still do it.

Looking forward to Spurs Bear's Naughton-meltdown later on. It'll be like Mark Kermode on a new Danny Dyer film.

So, just to clarify Omar.

Lloris = Spazzy child.
Walker = Shall not be executed today
Dawson = Blinking good
Vertonghen = Flaming Arse.
Naugthon = I've Got Time For you
Parker = spin around any more and your head will explode?
Huddlestone = Little people move so fast I cannot even see ball...
Bale = Looks the biz but left you wanting more?
Dempsey = have a drink on me?
Defoe = Montel Williams
Holtby = omg his face like dog face?
BAE = Has spaghetti arms and a face like a perv, deserves to be disintegrated from a pc laser?
Lennon = His head is too big for his boots (or in Cowells case, the solar system)

Correct me if i'm wrong...

On a semi-serious note and now I've calmed down and feel a little more optimistic than I did at 85 mins.

Lloris - 5.5 - Poor from him. Not so much the goals but the flapping and not his usual confident self.

Walker - 6 - 7 first half, 5 second half. First half showed why he is our right back, second half presented a case for those who dislike him.
Vertonghen - 5.5 - The better of the two centerbacks but was bullied for the equalier. Still poor and looked lumbery, not helped by playing next to Naughton

Dawson - 4 - Jesus that performance could be presented as a reason why we wanted to sell him. Several dozen aimless 60 yard pings, diving into when there was no need and exposed for pace. He can't play against strong, fast forwards.

Naughton - 3.5 - Apart from his decent shot he is woeful. No wonder him (dumb) and dumber on the other side are best buddies...
brainless. How hard is it NOT to tuck in and stick to your man; cost us for the 2nd goal. Play BAE rest of the season

MOTM - Hudd - 6.5 - 7.5 first half, 5 second half. My MOTM but it was the best of a bad bunch. Brilliant first half but faltered when pressed and fatigued. Still not nimble enough to play 90 and showed why he isn't a top class player... Lacks anything but a shot and a passing range.

Dembele - 5 - Hard to judge but when he was on, he was pretty poor. Needs to switch his game up; dropping his shoulder and shifting to the left is very predictable. Hope he's back though. He needs to be the one venturing forward not Pirouette Parker.

Parker - 3.5 - Wanted to give less but the fan boys would complain. My God how did he survive 70 mins when we had Carroll on the bench?! Should of scored, arguably multiple times. Why he was the one of the 3 venturing forward it beats me. Run into blind alleys, killed tempo, lost the ball, couldn't tackle. Woeful.

Bale - 5.5 - Decent first half but absolutely anonymous until the death in the 2nd. Not sure the right worked for him today but nice link up with Walker in first half.

Defoe - 4.5 - Started lively and was generally excited when he got the ball, even some link up play! But faded, can't hold the ball up and should of done better with the chance to win it (karate kick?) Need a new striker asap.

Dempsey - 5 - Does what he says on the tin. Run around a bit, tried a bit, few passes but lacks pace, guile and shooting ability. Should of just squared it on the ground for Bale and would of been a goal...

Subs:
Holtby - 5.5 - Runs around a lot and gives some energy but that's about it. Needs to exert himself on a game and stop being a headless chicken. Praying there's more to come from him. I know he's got it in his locker.

BAE - 5 - Instant upgrade on Naughton but still looked poor, just looks like he has the wrong attitude in terms of effort and commitment. New LB needed in Summer.

Lennon - 5.5/NET - Slow recover and hard to judge him but looked more dangerous when the game was stretched with him on.

AVB: 3 - Got it all wrong, Naughton and Parker shouldn't of started. Perhaps limited by personnel. Too long waiting to make a sub whilst our season was slipping away from us

I only caught the last ten minutes as I was having a London Underground nightmare, but I instinctively give avb 0 for starting Naughton, Parker and Dempsey ahead of Ekotto, Holtby and Lennon.
