I believe he was always sad he couldn't spend his career at Chelsea but he was far too good a player, at least he got back there coaching later on.And those Blue handicapped cars hat were parked on the pitch. He was at Chelsea when they were shit (the first time).
I remember him at the Bernabau when we playing under Harry Redknapp, he'd neve been there before and instead of the usual pundit waffle, a fine stadium, world famous blah blah blah, he was absolutely blown away by the place, what a fantastic place to play and he'd have loved to have had the chance to play there, he seemed to still feel the wonder of football and didn't mind sounding like a big kid, I liked that.
