Reading have completed the signing of Marek Matejovsky from Mlada Boleslav for an undisclosed fee.

Matejovsky signs three-and-a-half year deal with Reading

The Czech Republic international has penned a three-and-a-half year contract with The Royals as manager Steve Coppell looks to bolster his squad for the second half of the season.


The 26-year-old midfielder confirmed the deal, expressing his determination to succeed in England's top flight.


"The Premier League is the world's best league. I know where I am going; I have already arranged the housing situation.


"I am leaving for England today together with my family. I hope I will show I can play football well," Matejovsky told Sport.cz.

Don't know him at all ... but czech players have a tendency to be slow starters (Rosicky) or non-starters (Baros) in the PL. Interesting to see if he can do a job for them right away.
