When someone is desperate to sell, doesn't whether it's a car, a house, or a football player, there is usually something wrong with the merchandise or the seller. Buyer better do due diligence.

Zidane and Bale just don't like each other, that doesn't necessarily mean that Bale is useless.

Knew this would happen...I can see arguments from both sides ...if it happens I want it to be because Poch does....no other reason.

Everyone would be happy if he came back. We're just discussing the pros and cons. In a perfect world some might have someone else (for numerous reasons) but it's not perfect.

Never said Bale was useless. If you read carefully, I implied there is something wrong either with Bale or RM. You seem to know that the two don't get along, then there is indeed something wrong, just not in terms of football.

I literally just told you the reason why Real want to sell and Bale wants to leave, theres your due diligence.

I just don't want to spoil the memories I have of watching a fully fit Gareth Bale run defences ragged in times gone by. He's not the player he was and whilst it would be welcoming the prodigal son home we also have to take into account financially how big a "fatted calf" we are willing to kill for the privilege of doing so.

Not sure that's true, ZZ was the one who scouted him & insisted RM should buy him. There's only been an issue with him since he took over 2nd time around, but that maybe a hangover from the previous manager.

Not arguing. But if we got him last summer instead of nobody you'd have been happier yes?

People who wouldn't take Bale back are people who are just inventing opinions out of thin air and spouts of nonsensical words that just accidentally form a full sentence. There is no sports related reason to not take Bale back.

As far as I can see the total outlay is £10m plus £250k a week...that works out at £23m a year.. .what effect would Bale walking back in on those terms have on existing players or other 'would be' signings ?. He'd be earning more than them plus the cashback coming in from Spain to balance his salary there.
Would I like to see the Gareth Bale who left us for Real Madrid return ? in a heartbeat....but the Bale who's leaving Real Madrid is no longer that guy. It's a heart over head decision and personally I want to remember him as he was....I think both he and the club have 'moved on' and we should not try to rekindle the old days.
I know many would love to see him back in a Spurs shirt and I completely understand why....I just don't think it would work....but if he does return they'll be nobody shouting for him any louder than me (y)
I can't be fairer than that...

P.S.
Neither Zidane or Real Madrid are fools...if they approach you seemingly bearing 'gifts' then treat them like Greeks not Spaniards...... beware.

If Pochettino really-really wants him I don't think his £250,000 salary would be a stumbling block. It's half of his actual salary and I presume - and hope - it won't create unrest among the other players if Spurs paid Bale that.

Really? I would think the opposite is true, we all know the likes of Kane and Erikson could earn way more elsewhere, I would have thought seeing this guy, not at his peak, getting injury prone, maybe a bit of an attitude problem, just waltz in and get three times their salary would cause a lot of ill feeling in the squad.

Oh ,and by the way, £600,000 a week?!, just say that slowly to yourself, its bloody crazy!:greedy:

Here we go
here we go
here we go

Mail via Sun.

Might consider it if Real M.
pay all his wages.

Nope not even then.

A failed Billy Big bollocks
is just what we need.

Failed? Really?, the guy has won everything, more than once, and is a multi millionaire, id love to fail like that!

Normally, when buying a player of his quality one is looking at a transfer fee or around £70-80M and normally a player signs a 4 years contract, which would work out to be around £17-20M per season just for the transfer fee - without the added salaries and agent fees and what not... And should he get seriously injured, well, Spurs are still stuck with him for 4 seasons. He will not come on a pay-as-you-play contract, that's for sure.
So, now, if doesn't manage life in the EPL fitness wise Spurs can send him back to Real M. after one season.
But his fitness is a huge question mark really. Real M. is known to run their players to the ground - and pay them top money for it.
However, I am not just concerned about his physical fitness but also about his state of mind. After winning all there is in football, and living under the immense pressure a Real M. star does, will be still be very motivated and hungry for more if he returned to Spurs...
So IF Spurs are keen on bringing him back the a loan deal would be the best option.
He won't be able to hide this on the pitch.

You are saying something I've never heard before. Every article I read has Bale saying he wants to stay at RM.

Because he can't find a team who will pay his wage, he's wanted to leave since the previous season where him and Zidane fell out particularly since he left him out of the CL final.
