Not a chance. Bale has shown he would jump ship if a big club comes in. Kane has shown his commitment. We need to build around the spine of the team for the next 3-5 years. Kane is key to that. Forget the fee, clubs will know we have money so average strikers would become £40m all of a sudden.

A bit unfair to Bale I think, he was not forcing through an move to any big club. He was chased by the BIGGEST club in his profession, and we got a record fee for him. I don't think that shows any tendency to "jump ship". Equally I'm not convinced Harry has had any realistic approach/interest to date so he hasn't necessarily had the chance to "jump ship". He is incredibly ambitious and wants to set records and win prizes. I am not convinced that he is happy to be a Spurs legend and nothing else. He is about to turn 25 and if Real start to seriously express an interest in him I am sure he will be very interested.

Pay Bale's wages for, let's say 5 years and no buyout clause... then we're starting to get there... maybe.

I'd tell them where they can put it. Hopefully Levy's already given them crude instructions.
