I'm going to go out on a whim here, and throw some crazy predictions around...

I think Madrid might 'sneak' it.

So close to the Premiership 1st round of games and I don't understand why the Club took this up other than for the prestige of opponents and marketing opportunity. There would be so much more advantage in intense tactical training now that fitness is complete, prior to the Manchester Utd match.

Definitely gonna smash 'em, Ronaldo will be tucked securely in Trippiers pocket and Rodriguez won't even get a touch with Bentaleb in the middle. Kane should cut through their defense like a knife through butter.

Can't see how losing 3 or 4 nil is gonna help our team's confidence at all 3 days before the Utd game.

Don't really understand this one...

Come see the biggest club in Spain, the biggest club in Germany, the biggest club in Italy, and...Tottenham Hotspur!

It really is frustrating that we're playing in this competition. When you look at the teams involved, you could be forgiven for wondering if they just went down the list of English clubs, getting rejected each time until they found someone greedy enough for it.

We're the only team in this competition that plays a league game the ensuing weekend...I guarantee none of the other English clubs wanted anything to do with that shit.

On the plus side at least all of our players get to have a trial with Madrid.

Pretty clear this was the case - with the other leagues starting later. Getting a quality English team was going to be a challenge. Arsenal and Chelsea were out, leaving only ManUtd, ManCity, Liverpool and us as realistic targets.

Still, good experience for the lads. We also don't have the Europa qualification games that we had last season.

Chelsea have the depth of squad to play mid week we don't
As good as their first team is, I actually wouldn't say Chelsea should be overly praised for their strength in depth. They have just 5 defenders, Mikel is a huge step down from Matic, and Cuadrado, Moses and Salah are just outright flops.

Tough game. It will be a good pointer to how well prepared we are, nothing more. Hopefully no silly injuries. With our squad depth at the moment if any first teamers are injured we are straight into the development squad for back up.

Inter are nothing like biggest or best in Italy. In fact they are a shadow of what they were when we beat them last time out.

As for other English teams most of them have already played Madrid, barca, psg etc.

I doubt this is hurting anyone's confidence, it's a great experience for the kids. Bet they are excited

Inter aren't in the cup, AC are. Same applies to them though.

Looking forward to it, would rather play these sort of games before the season than playing Stevenage, Barnet etc
Will give us a real test and good mental preparation as well as the actual physicalities of the game, I think Poc will learn more from these type of games, rather than steamrollering the likes of the aforementioned teams, which don't really teach us anything apart from what we should expect from those type of fixtures.

You never know we might even surprise ourselves COYS
