The coach is not the issue. Obvioulsy he is a problem, but if he goes then Comolli goes. One thing we have to learn from Comolli/Jol, is that the D of F has to appoint his own man. So we can't be looking at alternative's to Ramos, until the new D of F is in place or an alternative system is put in place.

I'd dump the DoF system.

I know Balague isn't the most reliable source, but every week on his blog he writes about how Schuster wants to kill his DoF because he won't buy him the players he wants etc etc.

I'd rather have a world class Chief Scout & Head of Academy Development - which is Arnesen's position at Chavski. That person absolutely sits at the top table, and is in control of all recruitment of young players.

However, in the current system, Ramos reports to Comolli, which is ridiculous.

Just because Ramos did well in Spain gave him no god given right to do well here, and this proving to be the facts. He is the managerial equivilent to Andrei Shevchenko.

It's time we got a nasty english speaking bastard who regularly puts his boot up this teams arse, because we cannot slip any further away.

IF we sack Ramos then I think its time for the board to admit that the DOF system just doesnt work in English football

Gary Johnson? If only he hadnt signed a new contract at city.
But Ramos needs a little more time but if theres no improvement he needs to go and quick.

Maybe Barry Fry?

Ramos is like Rafa Benitez but with even more ridiculous team selections

I'd cut that list straight away down to:

Poyet
Bilic
Rijkaard
Klinsmann
Hiddink
van Gaal
van Basten

Hiddink would be very much my number one.

It aint gonna happen though, not for a while at least.

I'm sure the lads will do 'triffic' under Barry Fry.

Right now a very ill Bobby Robson will probably get more out of the side. Top man, Bobby.

You don't......the idiots are those that always turns against our team when we're having a bad spell and wants a new manager etc.
They are not idiots, only supporters that are very disappointed with the teams performance especially after the board promised us so much last season when they were sacking BMJ and replaced him with Ramos, as was pointed out up above we have only won 5 games in 2008 under Ramos, surely this was enough to see that he is not a PL manager, as for BAD SPELL, this isn't a bad spell its a catastrophic start to the season.

But i'm fed up with changing managers and not giving them time....especially when there are so clear why we're playing bad and miss players like Keane and Berbatov.

Was BMJ given time?!... no! Ramos won the CCup with BMJ's team not his own, he didnt show us any inkling of knowing how to put together a PL team with BMJ's players last season, he isnt showing any idea of understanding the PL with HIS OWN team either this season.

Pull the 2 best players outta any team with no replacement and that team will struggle.
When players dont want to be in the team then you act, the board acted correctly imo, but didnt act quick enough to get in good even better replacements.

I give Ramos 2 more PL games to get us in better shape, if he can only get draws from thoses two matches then Levy MUST take action.

Incidentally I suspect we'd need the Asian billionaires to come in or a hefty lottery win before we even considered sacking Ramos as I think he's on some ludicrous wage and not a year into his contract yet.

Agreed. I think I'm right in saying he was the highest paid club manager in the world till Mourinho took over at Inter. It'll probably take in the region of a £25m payoff to get shot of him, and that's not going to happen.

Mods - am I being incredibly stupid (probably because Spurs have driven me to drink), or is it currently not possible to see who voted for whom?

NB I have voted, and usually once you've voted you can see other's choices.

No one mentioned Big Scam...bloody hell. Dull footy, the police & panorama sniffing round & next Ivan Campo.

If it's that or the fizzy leagues then let's go!

If I remember correctly you can set it up so people can't see who vote for who.

nidge - thanks. In the striker combo poll, we could see who voted for whom. So you're probably correct and this poll has been set to protect whomever voted for Joe Kinnear.....

I'm sure in jest.

Open letter to the MODS: How the hell does PVDH (sounds like an STD) get ahead of Paul Walsh, Paul Stewart, Steve Sedgely?

If I remember right Chelsea havent paid anything to Grant, when they axed him.

With £25m he will never walk....and who can blame him...
