Taking a step back and looking at us now ... we’re above Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal in the league, we’ve been in the CL every year for some time and are heading to the Nou Camp for a decisive fixture on Tues. We’ve also played the last 16 months without a home ground, and not forgetting we’re the first Premiership club to have not bought any new players in the summer. Ever. In the next few months we move into our new home, one of the finest stadiums in world sport and an incredible stadium for football. We have the World Cup golden boot and and midfielder who at 21 has surpassed Scholes, Gerrard and Lampard in goals scored. And we have an incredible manager who is building a dynasty. The beauty is that W e’ve not even got out of 2nd gear yet and have still, despite injuries and World Cup hangovers have recorded our best start to a season in my lifetime (I’m 46). Things really are very good.

I can't consider this season a success no matter the outcome, because with Jack Grealish we would have won the Champions League

Agree with original post, though sounds somewhat like what I would say to myself after we don't sign anyone this upcoming window!

1. We can still win the Champions League.
2. We can still sign Jack Grealish.

Really, really well said.

If any Spurs fan is a glass half empty kind of guy at the moment, they need to read the OP over and over again until the penny drops.

Yeah but... ticket prices, er.... we look stale... er.... stadium delays... er... trophies... I've got a spot on my bum through stress.

Lose a game, we're 5th behind both Arsenal and Chelsea.
No one wins anything in December.

You're assuming if they win their games. Our fixtures look extremely good over the next month or two, they all have to play each other and will drop points.

And the one thing we are this season is consistent at dispatching sides outside of the top 6.

In fact we've been relentless, only Watford have denied us.

You look at these upcoming fixtures and it's hard not to thing about a huge points haul.
